The Democratic Party is in complete meltdown. They had a big online pow wow last night here in Washington State. I know someone who by dint of their being on the board of a non-profit was able to join. They are desperately trying to thread the needle and not have their base explode into sub atomic particles. Without that they believe they could lose even Washington, Oregon and California. The big problem they have is that most everyone outside of their base is scattering. In other States that are not solid blue they can’t afford that. The big problem they have is that while they don’t need much more than their base here, but if they loose much if anything on other places the Republicans are headed towards Supermajorities and even worse for them without any power the constituencies that make up their base the base will abandon them. That is issue one. Issue two is that even public employee unions are worried about being seen donating to them.
Seems I remember democrats saying very forcefully that their opposition party was not entitled the their own alternate facts.
