Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday he would aim to end the oil industry by transitioning completely to renewable energy.
Asked by President Donald Trump during Thursday night’s final presidential debate whether he would “close down the oil industry,” Biden said he would.
“I would transition from the oil industry, yes,” Biden said, adding that “the oil industry pollutes” and “has to be replaced by renewable energy over time.”
Biden added that he would end subsidies for the oil and gas industry. Trump called it “the biggest statement in terms of business” of the debate.

So Joe wants to kill the Oil Industry. Not only would he put those employees out of work, but also employees of parts & equipment suppliers along with industries that provide services to them. Also how are his electric cars going to be built, since half of the vehicle is made from plastic & rubber, including the tires. The asphalt roads are made from oil as well. Not only would Joe kill the Oil Industry, but the industries that produce more than these 6,000 items as well (it’s a PDF file). Looks like Joe wants us to go back to living like the “Flintstones”.

I grew up literally within sight of the Spindletop Oil field in Southeast Texas. It was the birthplace of the modern oil industry. I worked in the petrochemical industry for thirty-five years making the chemicals and raw materials that make our standard of living possible. If Biden and the Democrats were ever successful in closing down the oil industry, we’d all be plunged into a world of poverty, joblessness, hunger, sickness and suffering. It makes everything that is pleasant about life possible. There isn’t a job or endeavor that isn’t related or dependent on oil and it’s by-products.

Everything related to manufacturing needs oil,just like everything manufactured needs math (unless you are a grad social studies student that can pull amazing feats out of your ass).
I have been an industrial mechanic for 45 years and have yet to see anything that can run without oil or that oil was absent from manufacturing.
