Josh Hawley: Before Bailouts, Corporations Should Explain How They Will Move Jobs Back to America

Breitbart: Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said in a statement on Wednesday that multinational corporations should explain how they plan to move jobs back to America before asking for bailouts from the federal government.

“To any multinational corporations that come to Congress asking for taxpayer $$$, you better come prepared to explain how you will move supply chains and jobs back to America if you want my vote,” Hawley wrote on Wednesday.

The Missouri senator’s comment follows as Congress is considering legislation that would bail out the airline and other industries affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

Hawley introduced legislation late February that would combat potential drug shortages and help the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gather information regarding potential shortfalls in pharmaceutical companies’ manufacturing capacity.

He said in February that the coronavirus outbreak has highlighted America’s vulnerable medical supply chain. more

  1. China normally owns 20% of the companies that go there – and then, many times, Chinese companies spring up and rip them off. The companies that want to come back might find their assets instantly nationalized by the Chinese government. We haven’t even heard the beginning of this yet.

  2. I understand the importance of the airline industry.

They, however, had no problems charging me an extra $30 per seat when I would by tickets for me and my wife so we could sit together. My sympathy is lacking.

Oh, you were planning on wearing clothes where you’re going? That’s another $60 per person.

  3. that’s great and I agree but remember most companies that moved their manufacturing overseas to china did so with tax credits given by our politicians!

    and f the airlines!
they are always first in line for handouts of our tax dollars.
their service has declined for decades, i pity any frequent business flyers.

I understand the importance of the pederast vote. So what can we offer them? To make them happy? To keep them satisfied?

  5. It’s really not flying anymore it’s a cattle car complete with cattle prods to get into a diseased aluminum can. Root canal or most unpleasant flight ever, if we get to choose.
I’m driving if I got to go.
