Judge dismisses attempted murder and other charges in state case against Paul Pelosi’s attacker

A judge on Thursday dismissed several state charges against Paul Pelosi’s attacker, who was already convicted in federal court, based on the argument that the counts amount to double jeopardy, according to the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office.

David DePape was convicted of assaulting a federal official’s family member and attempting to kidnap a federal official. He was sentenced last month to 30 years in prison. more

    State declined to prosecute, because FedGov already did the job, and the attacker is already sentenced to 30 years. Let that hammer slam!
