DC: A federal judge in Florida on Thursday ordered the release of depositions given by former British spy Christopher Steele and a longtime associate of late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain in a lawsuit filed against BuzzFeed regarding Steele’s anti-Trump dossier.
U.S. District Court Judge Ursula Ungaro overruled requests by Steele and David Kramer, the former McCain associate, to keep depositions they gave in the BuzzFeed lawsuit under seal. Ungaro dismissed a lawsuit filed against BuzzFeed on Dec. 19, 2018, by Aleksej Gubarev, a Russian businessman accused in the dossier of using his companies to hack into DNC computers.
The depositions by Steele and Kramer, a former Department of State official, are likely to shed light on how the dossier was compiled and disseminated to U.S. government officials and the press. Ungaro ordered the documents’ release for March 14.
Kramer, a former State Department official, provided the dossier to a BuzzFeed reporter Dec. 28, 2016, several weeks after meeting with Steele in London. read more
LOL!!
The McCains must be putting valium in their coffee this morning.
After all that ridiculous faldarall of a funeral as if John McCain were the king of the world, he’s going to be exposed a little more as to what kind of sleaze he was.
McCain will be rolling over in the septic tank he’s interred in.
There was furious work done before McCain’s death to make sure his image was sanitized. They wanted to ensure the perception was the loss of a national hero, while in reality he was a filthy scumbag who betrayed his countrymen time after time.
To know him is to despise him.
I imagine the report reads like a cheap Bodice Ripper….
“The Handsome Young Agent checked the stubble on His chiseled jaw,
winked at Himself in the Mirror…and easily vaulted the two
story wall that surrounded the Palace Harem …”
Dang this stuff writes itself
Wonder if anything will be readable after the redactions?
Beachmom, David Kramer is still ensconced as some sort of “Human Rights” director at the McCain Institute, which is a combo of Clinton Foundation grift and Deep State Department West. Whole lotta bugs under that rock.
I gave McCain the benefit of the doubt re: his service record until his latter actions made that an impossibility. A person cannot be as duplicitous and treacherous as he was and have been the exact opposite a few years earlier, it just defies any and all logic to continue to believe that he was loyal to a fault in Vietnam and then in latter years could pull the stunts he was known for, and I might add, proud of.
His war record was manufactured out of thin air by his family connections is what I truly believe.
What good will a released deposition do if they redact all of it or just the juicy parts??? What’s wrong with this picture?? duh
Redactions? You have never SEEN redactions like you’re about to see.
They’ll let the McCain stuff be seen. I would say 75% of it. That way it can look like he did most of the crap that got the FBI ‘investigating’.
As long as they’re releasing docs, let’s see the ones about McCain hiding the locations of POW in Vietnam and the testimonies of the soldiers’ families.
And what the hell made McCain such an impassioned defender of Huma? Was Hillary funding his McCain Institute? That whole sordid episode really showed him for what he was.
McCain will have a place of prominence in the new Obama presidential library.
