Most of my life, I assumed that we elected serious politicians and appointed competent people to deal with the country’s complex problems — the Cold War, the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights Movement, the economy, immigration, terrorism, foreign policy, natural disasters, etc. — major problems that required competent people, serious about addressing (and fixing) the issues.

That was then, this is now. America is no longer a serious country, and the West is not a serious culture. Proof of how far we’ve fallen — boys claim they’re girls, girls claim they’re boys and we must accept the new biology or be canceled; racism is openly taught in public schools under the lie called Critical Race Theory (thank you, teachers unions); schoolchildren are taught to hate the country’s very founding claiming more racism; the military is focused on white rage (not defeating our enemies); and we installed an imbecile (as president) who mumbles the words his handlers put on the teleprompter. Vice President (VP) Kamala Harris is further proof that, as a nation, we’re unserious.

Watching Kamala, Biden, Tony Blinken, Pete Buttigieg, etc. it’s obvious that the Peter Principle is at work. The Peter Principle says that people rise to the level of their incompetence. During Obama’s presidency, everyone joked that he selected Biden for VP because Biden’s incompetency insured that Obama would never be impeached. Yes, Obama was bad, but Biden would be worse. Now that Biden’s the president, that joke was 100% correct. Sadly, he’s multiple times worse than anyone imagined. Biden has more failures in one year than most presidents have in a lifetime – the Afghanistan debacle and surrender, huge crime spikes due to Democrat “defund the police” insanity, actively working to destroy the petroleum industry while supporting Russia’s, soaring inflation, open support and deference to China, and his weakness being directly responsible for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine — to name just a few epic failures. As bad as Biden is as president, it’s obvious he selected Harris for the same reason that Obama selected him — to ensure he’s never removed from office. If you think things can’t possibly get worse, just look at Harris and you instantly realize – yes, they can. She would be multiple times worse than Joe.

It’s difficult to believe that Biden could find someone less competent than himself, but he did.

  2. I completely disagree with that premise; Kamala, Buttigieg, et al did not show sufficient capability for promotion, they simply abused the woke system to gain status.
    I do agree with TRF’s interpretation though.

    Unless you are 12 years old, that statement is patently ridiculous.

    In most of my [adult] lifetime, politics has been reserved for either the well-heeled (rich), the well-connected (Obama) or the bereft of a moral compass and do it for future remuneration.

    Competence, beneficence, or patriotism is not a requirement.

  5. I have to disagree with the article. America IS a serious country, it is the politicians and swamp that are a joke.

    Go ahead, visit most of the non-liberal strongholds and try to get away with the crap that the majority of the media shows. I will guess that the result will be completely different than what we see on the idiot box on a regular basis.

  7. I’m not sure EITHER interpretation of The Peter Principle works here.

    To Left Coast Dan’s point, she exceeded her level of competence about three (blow?) jobs ago. She coasted in here solely because she was an easily malleable nonwhite female idiot with some national name recognition when they were looking for a easily malleable nonwhite female idiot with some national name recognition.

    As to her oral skillz, politics is littered with females who are willing to offer their mouths and more to powerful rich men, and most of them are MUCH better looking and WAY less irritating that Kamala. The only reason I’d imagine a man would shove his dick in her mouth would be to shut her up for 10 minutes, and she got promoted quickly afterwards every time so she’d go cackle about it somewhere else.

    Although in her early career its possible she was selected precisely because the wives of the Willie Browns of the world figured she was too dumpy for hubby to WANT to pork. This is an error many women make in assuming that her man would turn down a willing mouth on looks. Since all females look like gophers from that angle anyway that proves to be not true for the amoral man (cf. Bill and Monica, Schwarzenegger and his maid, etc.) AND given that the wives in question are shrewish Democrat harpies that no one in his right mind would want to pork (cf. Bill and Hillary, Schwarzenegger and the Kennedy chick he was married to, etc.), if these guys are hetro the office pool is about the ONLY place they can find a willing, acceptable mouth out of the public eye.

    So Kamel isn’t strictly Peter Principle in either sense of the word. She just happened to have sucked her way into the national spotlight when the Communist were busy stealing an election and couldn’t think too hard about the minor players in it. She wasn’t the best whore, just the one in the right place at the right time.

    And here we are…

    Also because of the aforementioned needle dicks.

    The MAIN reason is that they are evil and want to totally physically dominate their victims as most rapist do, though, so since they are ALL pedophiles I would guess they only keep the odd Kamala around for those days when they are too lazy to drug a child and too tired to deal with it struggling…

  22. Wow, ya all being harsh on the old thing. She just doesn’t know how to act because she’s always been given her position. She knows she’s got nothing, and she knows everyone around her knows. It probably makes her very difficult to work for and hyperaware of relative status. Psychically it must constantly be excruciatingly painful to be in that kind of spot.

    Much like slo-jo she’s not to be blamed, even though she’s a willing participant. The fact is, those who are using the two are just some incredibly evil people.
