CNS: Rapper Kanye West is working on a project to design and build “living spaces for the homeless” based on the “Star Wars” movie franchise.
West’s vision is to create low-income housing modeled after the fictional planet of “Tatooine,” West revealed at one point in a lengthy interview with Forbes:
“Speaking of aliens, if you really want to see how West’s creative process works, then a visit to the Star Wars planet of Tatooine is necessary. Inspired by Luke Skywalker’s childhood home, West has been working with a team to design prefabricated structures that sport the same austere aesthetic, with the goal of deploying them as low-income housing units. Just after midnight he ushers me into his Lamborghini for an impromptu visit, barreling back down the road with Bach blasting on the sound system. After about 15 minutes, we arrive at a bungalow in the woods.” more
Nice idea and he means well I’m sure, but they look like those preformed dog houses color and all.
And I’m sure he’s financing all of this with his $$$, right ??
@Walpurgis:
Still better than a cardboard box.
Field of Screams
Build it, and they will come.
Problem is most of the Homeless are certifiably insane or have
dangerous addictions.
Yeah, I figure if they restricted drugs & booze from the neighborhood, the houses will remain empty and the homeless will remain homeless.
Move over Crack Houses, now we will have Crack Igloos.
Precisely what some of the most mentally disturbed drug addled minds need for housing. Something out of Star Wars. It’s not like they’re already living in an alternate universe, right?
What’s next on the agenda? Build them a Yellow Submarine for their annual cruise?
Geezum Kanye get a grip. If you’re really seeking solutions to the homeless problem, begin at the root, Democrat governance.
May the farce be with you.
Insane, drunks, drug addicts, or just lazy bums. It’ll be quite a neighborhood.
The Homeless move into these places & you won’t recognize them within 6 months, that is if they are still standing that long.
Well, it’s not like selling igloos to Eskimos…….oh, wait….
