Kim Jong Un Backs Down In Nuclear Showdown With Trump

DC: North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un decided Tuesday not to fire ballistic missiles at Guam, reserving the right to change his mind if “the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions,” according to North Korean state media.

Kim appears to be attempting to de-escalate tensions to prevent conflict between the U.S. and North Korea. After the U.N. Security Council approved tougher sanctions against North Korea for its intercontinental ballistic missile tests, the North warned Wednesday that it was considering launching a salvo of ballistic missiles into waters around Guam in a show of force demonstrating an ability to surround the island with “enveloping fire.” That same day, President Donald Trump stressed that North Korean threats will be met with “fire and fury like nothing the world has ever seen.” For a week, the two sides hurled threats and warnings at each other repeatedly, leading some observers to conclude that the two sides were close to nuclear war.

But, Kim blinked.  MORE

  1. The pudgy little garbage can realizes the game has changed. No more payoffs, better retreat to your bunker with your hustler magazines and little debbie cakes.

  2. “or a week, the two sides hurled threats and warnings at each other repeatedly, leading some observers to conclude that the two sides were close to nuclear war.”

That was just fodder for the liberal talking heads so they could claim Trump was a dangerous man with the nuclear codes in his hand. Same thing said about Reagan, the old man who was going to get us into World War 3 with the Ruskies.

Except Trump drew the line and stood by it. Kim wants to live and rule like a dictator for the next 40-50 years. He knows Trump will let the fury of our Military turn NK into a parking lot. Kim will rattle his sword a bit until the next Demorat President who will fold faster than a cheap folding card table.

  3. Actually China decided to put a muzzle and leash on their yapping poodle.

It is not a coincidence this happened the same day Mattis and Tillerson had a joint article published in the WSJ. The squeeze is on China. Fat boy with bad haircut will do what he is told.

  4. The spin is already that “Trump started the war of words and Kin ended it peacefully.”. Waiting for them to claim that Rosie ODonnel with her piggy tweet apologizing to Kin is the real reason.

  5. They (US/NK) did not “exchange threats.” as Rightwinger points out.
Fat-boy threatened Guam, Trump promised him “fire and fury.”
    the mad idiot backed off.
I wonder how the MSM will handle this?

  6. THAT’S how a strong America reacts to aggression! ‘Enough! You throw the first punch and we’ll wipe you out.’ No red line crap.

This story is good to hear after the p/c correct response had to be given, re: Charlottesville. I NEVER heard obama NAME the hate groups rioting in Ferguson, Baltimore and etc. In fact he invited them to the White House. I hope President Trump’s advisors (probably chickenshit GOP), who wrote that ‘appeasement’ speech, yesrerday, are happy that the left and MSM have been quited, NOT.

Appeasing the progressive left, or the chickenshit GOP, or MSM is like trying to appease a very hungry Kodiak grizzly bear, with a piece of jerky. You’re still on the menu!

  7. I’m reading reports that kimchee has not been seen in public for about two weeks. If this is true he’s either cowering in his bunker or somebody is sitting on him. China? his own generals? assassins? A coup? Whatever, the longer he’s gone the better I like it, assuming his successor is sane.

  8. Thank GOD we have an adult who means business in the White House now. When the most popular kid in Junior High was running the show, lil Kim was not afraid, had no respect. If that gutless child was still in the White House, part of the U S would be gone by now.

  9. Trump ought to be graceful in his victory and compliment Kim Il Dong or whatever his name is on his ability to step down from his threats and recognize the reality of the situation. Throw him a little bone and then tell China that they need to hosetrain their pet.

Then the WH (the people he can trust) should get busy on a background report on how the US got into this in the first place. In detail describing the active failures of Clinton and Obama as well as the seeming disinterest of Bush. Be meticulous, scrupulously honest without trying to bend facts. Then leak it to a few of the honest and conservative blogs or media (precious few of those). Then watch the fun.

  10. China liked the buffer NoKo but not at the expense of a nuclear SoKo, Japan, or Taiwan. They are also worried about having a few million angry unemployed citizens within their borders. Since a single bullet to Lil Kim’s head would end their problems, I expect either the message or the bullet was delivered.

  11. China’s the big potential loser here. They could end up with Radioactive Coal and no trade with the U.S. Don’t be surprised if Fat Boy has an unfortunate accident soon.
