SK Innovation construction just never learns. They were raided a while back and 33 illegal Korean immigrants were arrested. To see if they had reformed, they were raided again this week and 13 more illegals were arrested. But to make matters worse, SK received $300 million in subsidies from the state government. Money they should now repay.
The illegals have been placed on supervised release while the matter is being investigated. But if you are wondering why they haven’t been deported, there is a logical reason for it. they may be needed as witnesses against SK Construction. They will then be deported. Their incentive will be that this incursion won’t be held against them in the future.
Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA), along with others, asked ICE to investigate SK Innovations for their habit of hiring cheap foreign illegal labor. With well over 20 million Americans unemployed, we cannot afford to give those jobs to illegals. We need them all. read more
Goody gumdrops. Decently convict them, and decently hang them.
ICE should focus on the construction sites in South Florida. Nothing but illegal aliens working who cannot speak English. They are taking jobs that Americans should be filling but since they will work for $10.00 per hour, the contractors hire them. Wrong on so many levels but the democrat communists look on them as part of their voter base.
Do your job ICE.
Why are there so-called “sanctuary cities”? Because when Commie Progressives take over the majority vote in a place, they want their $10.00/hour illegal workers to come along with them. If a prospective client balks at my very reasonable pricing, I tell them, “I won’t compete with undocumented people. I’ve got taxes and overhead to pay.” They babble something in sheepish response. They want their cake and eat it too! These are the people who have yard signs proclaiming the dignity of ALL people, but ask them to put their money where there mouths are and watch what happens.
How did SK get $300M in tax-paid money without someone inside the gov’t approving it in the first place? That’s where I’d start my investigation. That’s a LOT of money for a private construction company.
I snooped around on the internet a little and it seems SK Innovation is a foreign company. In fact, it is South Korea, hence the SK.
Clear case of the penalty being a lower business expense than the money saved by hiring illegals. To stop it, reverse the cost, increase it by at least 3x over the amount of money saved, and cut off the taxpayer funded subsidy.
