NYP: All eyes are turning to NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker as she prepares to host the third and final presidential debate Thursday.
President Trump and Joe Biden will square off at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., in a 90-minute debate starting at 9 p.m.
Welker, 44, has been the White House correspondent at NBC News since 2011, after working as a news reporter in Rhode Island.
But Trump supporters who took issue with hard questioning by previous moderators like Chris Wallace and Savannah Guthrie may find themselves pining for those combative hosts after Welker is done with the president.
Welker comes from an established Democratic family — who have poured cash into party coffers, and to Trump opponents, for years.
Her mother, Julie Welker, a prominent real estate broker in Philadelphia, and father, Harvey Welker, a consulting engineer, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and close to $20,000 to Barack Obama alone. read more

Let’s go look at her Twitter history to see what she’s said in the past. Oh wait, she hid it. If she tag teams with Biden, PDT should ask her why she hid her Tweets and what she’s hiding. If she wants to be in the debate, she should answer questions, too.
And PDT, maybe you should just preemptively denounce White Supremacy in your first answer, no matter the question, and then ask Biden if he will disavow the endorsement of White Supremacist Richard Spencer. And ask Biden the same question again at the end of the debate. Because one time is never enough.

Tony R, I think Trump likes the smashmouth aspect of the debates. He knows the media will always declare him the loser, and everybody else knows it, too. He’s always the underdog, and the media can’t help making themselves into overweening assholes and over-the-top villains.
Trump’s opponents are actually diminished by the helicopter mom moderators. And having women moderators only amplifies that rotor wash. Trump probably looks in the mirror before each one of these things and asks himself, “What have you got to lose?” Nothing at all, in my book.
I can only think of one real journalist to be moderator for the “debate” and that would be Harris Faulkner from FOX News. I think she’s just about the only honest journalist left in this country!
Picking this asshole to moderate the debate is like picking Sessions or Barr to be attorney general again.
