Believe what you will that our society is entirely secular. That someone can be “spiritual but not religious.” That humanity can be godless and still operate morally.
It’s not true.
Man is religious, inherently. He mitigates depression by seeking community and he avoids anxiety by finding purpose in something outside himself. Even if that purpose involves destroying the country. Whether rapidly in a “mostly peaceful” arson-and-looting spree or by gradually chipping away at our nation’s founding principles.
We live in a world where organized religion has grown increasingly unpopular, even disdained. It’s “out-of-touch” with the times, rooted in patriarchy, and plagued by scandal. So man has created a new religion to fill the void.
It’s called Leftism, and it has all the elements of a true religion: commandments, community, commission. However, in Leftism, these elements are either baseless, empty, or perverse.
Leftism has liturgical seasons: in June, the Left celebrates Pride Month. There are “holy” days: the Left may deem it necessary for disciples to post a black square on Instagram and refrain from using the app that day. In the name of justice.
Leftism has prayer, but since that word hints at the presence of a deity—which is oppressive, you see—contemplation has taken the term “mediation;” supplication, “manifestation.”
The gods of Leftism require forms of sacrifice. Among the relatively harmless forms include changing your diet in reverence to “sentient” animals or adopting a fluorescent hair color to send a message to social norms. Then there’s snuffing out the life of your unborn child so as not to impede your career trajectory, or changing your daily lifestyle to prolong a supposedly imminent environmental apocalypse.

The use of the term “organized religion”, which makes it all sound so bad, is really a convenient accusation made to absolve those using it of any obligation to do that other really no good, bad, awful thing: obey.
As long as there’s no organized religion, one can indulge in al the “fun” things with none of the obligation to its creed.
For example: so-called environmentalists aren’t even serious about their own religion. None of the “new” Leftist religions are serious about their own new religions. Oh, they tithe to them, but it’s usually stolen money, or stolen time.
The Left has no religion(s). They have a cult. One definition of cult is that it is a social movement.
The progressive movement exists to implement Satan’s agenda here on earth, that is true. But the ultimate goal is to separate souls from God. If there ever was legitimate reason to concede good intentions to ANY follower of the progressive world view or political philosophy, the documented increase of innocent human suffering, misery and death that followed each and every instance of them gaining power and being in position to implement their agenda makes it absolutely clear that anyone who does not reject progressivism is complicit. Progressivism is a religion and it is also a death cult.

Those who believe their needs are being met based on “The better good” or progressivism, leftism, nihilism environmentalism or any other cultism, have no idea they are committed to a religious construct.

Cults can be very religious and highly organized. Religion is only the method of service to spread the doctrine of a cult.
Yes, many don’t know their leftist ideologies are religious by nature or how serious their actions are. They are playing with fire.

God is still in control despite the chaos. Man was created autonomous and free to choose his own fate. However, if separated from God by choice, the consequences established by God are manifested and overwhelming.

God himself says to shake the dust off your feet and move on when the Gospel is rejected by people separated from God. Matthew 10:14
Those who curse God, ignore the nudging of the Holy Spirit God or deny God’s deity as the only God, in most cases aren’t ever interested in knowing God. They have been turned over to the demonic spirits that corrupted them; Roman’s 1,:16 -32.
God is gracious, it won’t hurt to pray, but at some point even God says…I’m done. Seemingly, harsh but a reality. God knows better than we do.
My personal example of God’s limitations with the ungodly may offend religious minded people.
Yet, if you know God, it can make sense.
I had a boss who did everything to get me fired in the mid 1990s. He was not successful. My position was eventually eliminated through a state mandated “freeze” during an economic downturn in the early 2000s. It was difficult working with my boss at times but God’s protective grace got me through it.
Long story short, I keep praying for my hateful boss. One day, God told me to stop praying for him. I was shocked, but God said I did nothing wrong and he handled the situation. I did what I was told and praise God. He was aware of all the aspects of the situation and didn’t need for me to do more – just continue to be faithful.
Some advise; don’t try to be holier than God. That’s called false humility-sinful as pride. Pray according to His will.
God, through the Holy Spirit will let you know who to continue to pray for. Just be sure to keep your relationship with Him current on a daily basis.
