TristateHompage: LAS VEGAS (AP) — Like many liberals, Lara Smith considers herself a feminist, favors abortion rights and believes the nation’s immigration policies under the Trump administration have just been “vile.”
But when it comes to guns, Smith sounds more like a conservative: She opposes reviving the nation’s assault weapons ban, enacting red-flag laws or creating a registry of firearms. The 48-year-old California lawyer owns a cache of firearms, from pistols to rifles such as the AR-15.
Smith and liberal gun owners like her face a quandary as voting in the Democratic primary intensifies with Super Tuesday next week. They are nervous about some of the gun control measures the Democratic candidates are pushing and are unsure who to trust on this issue.
“You’re alienating a huge part of your constituency,” Smith says of the Democratic field’s gun proposals. “You have a huge constituency that is looking for something different and when you are talking about restricting a right which is so different than everything else you talk about, you are being anti-liberal.” read more

That’s the great thing about this field of candidates; No longer are any of them pretending that they won’t take away our guns, they are ALL on record as wanting to take them away.
That’s the problem. When you accept moral relativism you have no intellectual consistency. Everything is based on feelings.

This lady is why I’m hesitant to welcome the news of Democrats switching parties. I want more Conservatives not progressives in the tent.
If they want my weapons they better bring a big truck and pack a lunch. They may get them, but that first one is going to be a son of a bitch.
Kinda peculiar that the gun-grabbers (those who would impose tyranny) make no effort to repeal the 2nd, but work surreptitiously through dishonest jurists to obtain their goals. And their reasoning (?) is always contrary to the plain language and intent of the Bill of Rights.
The second isn’t about Bambi – never has been – it’s about the citizens’ right to defend themselves from “government” oppression. When the servants become the masters, chaos reigns. The Kindergarten CANNOT be in charge of the school. The lying, thieving, megalomaniacal maggots CANNOT be allowed unbridled access to our incomes, our homes, our businesses, our children, in fact – our LIVES.
It’s comforting to know that even those who crave bureaucratic sanction to murder their children may draw the line at self-defense.
