Dan Bongino: Congressional transcripts reveal that former FBI attorney Lisa Page said her lover, disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok, hoped that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation would lead to the impeachment of President Trump and advance his own career.
The transcripts of Page’s July 2018 closed-door interview were released yesterday by ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA).
The Washington Times reports:
Mr. Strzok seemed conflicted about whether it was worth joining the special counsel’s investigation in 2017, given that it might peter out with nothing to show.
Ms. Page told the House committees that didn’t necessarily mean he wanted to find something, but he did have his eye on career advancement and a major takedown of a president would help that.
