For a simple dictionary, MP4 player and internet weather/radar source, it seems like a mighty high price to have spooks – both private sector (Bezos) and public sector (FBI) – listening in on EVERYTHING you and your household are saying ALL THE TIME. No, it doesn’t listen only when you call on Alexa. No, shutting it off doesn’t do it. Possibly unplugging it, as Fayelene suggests, might do it…but what an inconvenience!
We’ll just get you to post all your personal information on facebook, and just put this listening device right in your home…..yeah…
I asked Alexa to give me the numerical value of pi about 6 months ago. She is still going strong, and has no time for anything else.
Mute = won’t do anything you say, but still recording.
