SARA CARTER: Oregon local John Tate biked across America with his dog, Jax by his side raising roughly $20,000 to support veteran’s group K9s for Warriors. Tate started his journey on April 10 in Portland, Oregon and finished in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on Tuesday. Over the course of the three month journey, Tate and Jax met veterans and visited several military monuments across America. It wasn’t the easiest trip, which Tate highlighted through a series of blog posts.
“Some random, regular person, not from a military family, who very much appreciates and supports what they do,” said Tate to local news channel Action News Jax reporter Elizabeth Pace. “The sacrifices that our warriors have made for us, and the beautiful work K9 for Warriors does to help them get back into life.”
Good Deal!!!! Did a whole lot more then the entire Democrat Party.
From the blog. . .
Last stop in Texas the Kirbyville Veterans Memorial.
“THEIR LOVE FOR US IS HERE REFLECTED. BEAR WITNESS AND GIVE THANKS.”
“Somewhere between College Station and the Louisiana border, the National Weather Service started issuing Heat Advisories. “It’s going to be very hot. Be careful.” It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced heat and humidity like that.”
Rolling with Jax. . .
They will have some great memories.
Across Tabasco Fields to Florida too.
I bet there’s a boat captain and crew somewhere in Florida that would take Jax and his buddy out for some water time.
Thanks Sara Carter.
I recently put 3200 miles on a motorcycle within 2 weeks. I couldn’t imagine biking farther while towing a dog! Good on this guy!
NOW THIS is the type of person who represents America. Barry the seditious commie fairy, Big Mike, and soccer dykes on spikes wearing jerseys from Nikes, can go straight to hell.
Helluva feat.
Was going to do that with my cat but every bike I tried he couldn’t reach the pedals.
Yes Tim, you are different, and pretty funny.
That was pretty impressive now lets see you do it again on a tricycle.
As a veteran I find this sort of thing quite touching, but the honor of it should go to the fallen.
