Many Trapped After Tunnel Collapse in Los Angeles

GP-

A dramatic rescue effort is underway after an industrial tunnel collapsed Wednesday evening in the Wilmington neighborhood, trapping at least 15 workers underground, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

“As many as 15 tunnel workers have been initially reported isolated by a “collapse” in an (undetermined depth or diameter) industrial tunnel as many as six miles south from the response address, which is the sole tunnel access,” LAFD said in a statement. more

  1. Hope they all get rescued with no major injuries to any of them.

Newscum and Large Mouth Bass Ass continue to spend all the State and Fed money they can get their hands on on all the ILLEGALS.

Newscum is probably buying Chinese dry cement again which is only good enough for sidewalks and curbing except when rioters attack it since they easily break it up their sledgehammers. Chinese cement is crap for anything structural. Just look at the buildings in their home country that have and are crumbling when they use it there.

  2. No doubt layoffs and firings caused by DOGE, and/or cutting off federal funds by Trump, are to blame. We just haven’t gotten the specifics yet from Bass, Newsom and the media.

  3. “…as many as six miles south from the response address, which is the sole tunnel access…”

So there are no access and ventilation shafts? I find that hard to believe. Then again, this is LA and CA idiocracy at work. And if federal money is involved, Katie, bar the door.

  4. Prayers for this trapped and the rescuers.

This is going to be dicey as apparently tunneling is still more luck and art than science. And leads me to ask what the plans are/were for this thing to be stable in any of the earthquakes this region is famous for?

  5. Not to worry. OSHA will fine the city, the families will sue the city and both will be paid for by taxpayers. The fake news will treat the democrats in charge, who created the dangerous situation, as heroes.

  6. Is it a cartel tunnel from Mexico?
Is is a Hamas tunnel from Gaza?
Or is it that tunnel to China we’ve all heard about?
    Inquiring minds want to know.
Pretty sure this story is gonna get memory-holed in 3…2…1..

  7. MrLiberty, that is great news. That sewage tunnel, however, could be an even bigger money-pit now.

Although if the rescue was this quick and successful, maybe the damage—and the danger to the workers—was not as bad as the Hollywood media drama portrayed it. Although I imagine a few black and latino lesbian rescue workers will get promoted soon.

  8. Third twin- the story I read said that the “trapped” workers had to climb a ways over the rubble from the collapse to reach freedom…so sounds like far from a total collapse with complete blockage.
