Marine barred from graduation walk over uniform

WT: An Illinois high school is facing backlash after refusing to let a U.S. Marine walk at her graduation while wearing her dress blues.

Marine Corps Pvt. Megan Howerton technically graduated from McHenry West High School several months ago, finishing up early so she could attend bootcamp, but she attended Thursday’s ceremony so she could walk with the rest of her class, a local ABC News affiliate reported.

When she arrived at her graduation in full uniform, officials determined she violated the dress code and wouldn’t let her participate without wearing the traditional gown, the station reported.  more

  1. Nope, sorry. I ain’t buyin’ it. The second the leftist school admin saw Megan show up in her Dress Blues, it “triggered” them and they ran to their Safe Space which happens to be a default mode of reactionary fascism.

My guess is if she’d shown up in a rastafarian tie-dyed tshirt and birkenstocks they wouldnt have insisted she wear their bullshit cap & gown.

  2. My son has already Graduated high school. He is at Marine Corps Boot Camp as i type this. Looking beyond the whole leftish, safe space, dick swingers who think they are girls, these worthless F%CKS have no idea the dedications, the love of country, and commitment it takes to join any part of the military. If they had the slightest bit of sense, and had just an ounce of knowledge of the difficulty of just making thru Marine Corp Boot Camp. The MARINES for God’s sake. These worthless pansy ass sons of bitches should have been frogged walked out of there, she should have walk with her uniform and every F$cking person there should have damn well been on their feet clapping as they have never before. I’m sorry all i can think of is curse words as the chills go down my arms. I wish my sons entire platoon could march down the aisle ahead of her. I dare you to stop these brave, dedicated men and women who have stepped up to the plate and allow these pansy ass worthless f$ckers to breath the air of freedom.

  3. @ShakeNbake
Blessings to you and your Son.
Before my son-in-law went to Iraq I told him not to expect his friends and co-workers to know what he did or the sacrifices he made. His friends have never served anyone but themselves and their desires, they will never understand and never fully realize the sacrifices that are made by our military. Just do your job to the best of your ability, watch out for your buddies and stay safe. After a year he returned safely.
He mentioned that his friends acted as though he was on vacation, then they switched the conversation to who had the coolest phone and apps. Most folks don’t have a clue and never will.

I’m proud of your son, right now he’s in the pit of hell.
    Soon he’ll be a Marine. oooorah !

  4. Very well said, Shake…

I genuinely feel sorry for those who never served; they have no idea what they missed out on. Yes, Marine boot camp was hell, but at the end of it, you got to unbutton your collar, starch your utilities and cover, blouse your trousers and walk like a Marine!

  5. Send those dweeby decision makers to Iraq, Iran, Saudi, Yemen, nice places like that. Let a few of them die for their country. Keep sending their contemporaries until schools run out of idiotic and gutless lefties.
