The resolution states that Boehner has tried to “consolidate power and centralize decision-making, bypassing the majority of the 435 members of Congress and the people they represent.” It accuses the speaker of using the “legislative calendar to create crises for the American people, in order to compel members to vote for legislation.”

[…] Mark Levin mentioned this on his show, saluting Meadows for taking a stand like this, one that will likely be met with brutal opposition from Boehner supporters. Listen here!

  1. Today, this is going nowhere. The power structure (money and prestige distribution mechanism) is working just fine for those that benefit from it.

And they’ll kill to maintain that structure.

So fixing elections and trashing a few folks along the way is chump change. That’s the lowly shit gets delegated to interns.

At least if those interns are from the right families or lobbyists.

  2. @Tiger Eyes: “If this doesn’t work a recall election might.”

I used to think that, thirty years ago. I have a different opinion now.

I’ve been observing them (the elected, the lobbyists) and I find this as efficacious as virgins opinions of sex.

It may possess inclinations, which may indeed be laudable, but has suffered as it has not been informed by facts.

  3. I emailed my rep and asked him if he was going to grow a pair. I reminded him that his last vote was to keep the boner there. I told him it was his last time to redeem himself. He’s a rice farmer and get heavily subsidized. The F’er showed up at our Tea Party meetings and presented himself as “One of Us.” F’er! He doesn’t like me…oh well.

  4. My understanding is there is no recall elections allowed in federal seats. The only way out is to be convicted of a criminal offense and/or be voted out by the other members.

  5. What a game changer Boehners bouncing would be. If a true conservative were then elected Obama and the rest of the Dems as well as the GOP establishment would be pissing their pantyhose and the run up to the 2016 election would be incredible with the actual election perhaps seeing the destruction of the extreme left Democrat Party.
