There are schools that won’t apply sunscreen on field trips without written permission but now we have schools that dole out hormones and insert birth control devices. And school nurse?! The school nurses I recall were not people I would want administering healthcare.

Look, It is way over the school’s boundaries to do this, but that girl did not object or punch the nurse in the gunt over the injection. She just got caught and had no choice but to tell her mom when she got sick.
So now, when parents go to sue, they’ll say it’s within the law and your daughter (maybe) asked for it.
The best the parents can do is sue for the illness and the fact that the nurse wasn’t certified to even do this.
If parents continue to let the educational system rear their children, the consequences will be severe.
It’s sickening when government has control over you and yours.

When we were a nation of Laws,
a minor CANNOT give medical consent.
But that was before a Fraud POSUS,

A few years ago a femail student was suspended for giving another girl an aspirin or a Midol because he was suffering with a menstrual cycle. Liberals administrators are a bane to public schools. I hope the person who performed this act is fired, fined and jailed.

16 years old is not a “child” according to the left. And indeed, for centuries, 16-year-olds married, had children, worked, and even now can consent to all kinds of medical treatment. But… yes, Will, excellent point on the utter hypocrisy and inconsistency on the left.

Teach your children to be terrified of anyone attempting to give them medicine or medical procedures outside of your chosen Doctor’s office. Government schools are being run like Chinese Communists are in charge.
A friend of a friend has a daughter with asthma. First day of school, the girl got pulled aside and was told that she would have to take her rescue inhaler (and whatever pill she had to take at the time) and give it to the nurse. You know, the nurse who isn’t always in her office The office that is across the school yard somewhere. Great idea.
Well, she didn’t hand anything over. But her mom and dad called the school and handed somebody their asses over it.
Seriously. They expected the child to give up her emergency meds. lol. wow.
Secretly implanted birth control device in a minor. That way her “teacher” doesn’t have to make a special trip to Planned Parenthood should there be an accident.
Sue everybody, the school, the doctor, the medical facility, the drug manufacturer, the state. Allege every male school employee is a pedo. $$$$
16-year-olds ARE considered children by the media when they want to write about “priests abusing children”. But 75-80% of the reported abuse involves gay priests with post-puberty teenage males. The media story is always “sex abuse of children” rather than the more precise gay sex with teenagers.

I was there every step of the way with my kids, their teacher and principal. My kids did just fine from Kindergarten through grade 12. Started out by the teacher confronting each student at the door to unpack all their school supplies because everyone was going to get a piece of the action. Mom shows up (me), and demands all my children’s school supplies back, that I didn’t waste my money doing other parents job. After that, they left my children alone. Hell to pay? Yep. Touch my kid would have been prison for me.
Yet the school nurse probably can’t give a student a Tylenol with parental permission. But anything to do with sex: birth control , abortion, lectures by gay or transgender advocates, fall under different rules. Where anything goes. Crazy mixed up world .
If you had your kid in a home schooled environment this wouldn’t have happened- and (and I hate to say this but-) maybe you needed to be more trust worthy or be there for her?
My mom was always awkward about sex but she was still extremely open and there for me and any questions- and she taught me about celibacy and encouraged it.
Parents need to parent and the school system needs to butt the hell out.
I’m getting to the point I no longer feel sorry for parents who have stupid things done to their kids in public school. It’s no damn secret anymore that public school doesn’t educate your children, but are nothing more than indoctrination centers. Hell it should be considered child abuse these days to send your kids to public school.
The mother needs to sue EVERYBODY involved in this fiasco. It is FAR beyond the legal scope of practice for a Registered Nurse to implant ANY device in a patient without the express orders of and IMMEDIATE availability of a Licensed Practitioner such as an MD. This act constitutes FELONY practicing medicine without a license. It ALSO constitutes FELONY assault.
