I’ve been in and out of Dr.’s and the hospital recently and I wash the stupid cloth masks after a couple hours use.
I’ve had to wear half and full face respirators in the past while doing construction. I’d much prefer a mask.
The oxygen level in a face diaper is also below OSHA standards for confined space entry. I have a piece of atmospheric sampling equipment at work we use. Putting the sampling hose under the face diaper results in an immediate low O2 alarm of 18%.
If you happen to be in a public toilet that has run out of paper, masks are a reasonable substitute. Other than that, they are useless!

If you are not prepared to live your life like this, quit fooling around and take the diaper off. It’s not doing a damn bit of good anyway.
