  1. All of this is not far from me. I’m closer to midway than O’hare. The sirens went off twice in my neighborhood. It was raining all day and the second the sun came out the siren sounded. Then more rain, sun comes out and siren goes off again. We ate outside on our covered deck while the siren was blaring and sun was shining. Weird shit.

Three years ago one touched down in the old neighborhood (1 mile north of me) and ripped out a lot of big old trees and trees toppled on houses. Looked like a war zone. That was all cleared up in a matter of a couple weeks tops.

Two years ago one touched down in the poorer neighborhood (1 mile west of me) where there’s a lot of subsidized housing (and no trees). Houses were damaged to roofs and siding, nothing major. To this very day those houses are still undergoing repairs. Government is not here to help.

No matter how bad they try the Republican days of fixing elections is over. Their fuckhead top fixer is going to prison.

    Ouch!

Over the years have had a number hit all around us and we seem to have always dodged the bullet. Does that mean we’re overdue or perhaps a slightly lowered area on the Fox River (between Crystal Lake and Barrington) that always is given to a different or easier path for the storms?

April 21st, 67′ was a particularly bad one that where my 55 buick refused to go up into the trees like a number of vehicles in front of me… SNS length story that had me and another guy VERY lucky at Ela Rd. & Rt. 14 between Barrington and Fox River Grove IL.

Out ran three others with the same guy and we finally separated from each other anytime there were storm warnings when we were together.
