‘Mattress Girl’ case: Man falsely accused of rape wins settlement from Columbia

RAP: Columbia University has settled a lawsuit from Paul Nungesser, the alumnus who was famously and falsely accused of sexual assault in what came to be known as the case of “mattress girl.”

Emma Sulkowicz, his fellow student, told the University administration and the world that Nungesser raped her. She protested the school’s handling of the case, which they dismissed, by carrying her mattress with her everywhere – even as she walked across the stage to accept her diploma.

Although dismissing the allegations of rape, Columbia gave her academic credit for the performance art piece, titled “Mattress Performance (Carry That Weight).” It was Paul, however, who had to carry the weight of Emma’s false accusation.

Investigations by both Columbia University and the New York Police Department (NYPD) cleared Nungesser of wrongdoing. Text messages between Paul and Emma show Emma as the pursuer – the astoundingly creepy pursuer, who sent Paul explicit and pleading messages.

  1. I’m not a psychiatrist. Who can tell us what mental illness diagnosis she has?

Not a psychiatrist either, but I think that Feminism is a good diagnosis here. And totally agree that all men and women and prospective employers have been sufficiently warned about this person. (I’m afraid to use a wrong pronoun…it might end up at my house with some protest “art” display.)

  2. 💥 WOMEN ARE ADULT CHILDREN 💥

They are coddled, and society RARELY holds them accountable for darn-near everything.

    *They’re late, it’s Ok.
*They don’t register for selective service, Ok.
    *Indecisive, Ok.
    *Fat, Ok.
    *Thin, Ok.
    *Lesbo, Ok.
    *Not pay the bill? Ok.
    *Abortion, Ok
    *Not have an abortion, Ok.
    *Time of the month, Ok.
*Demand equal pay but not equal seniority, Ok.
*Disorderly conduct? No, she’s a woman.
*Kicks, screams, bites, it’s Ok, she’s a woman.
*Illogical? It’s Ok, we expect it.
    *Oh look, tee-hee, she’s drunk.

Are there ANY standards for women?

💥 If you ever find a woman more than 0% at fault for ANYTHING, please let the Guinness Book of World Records know.

  3. Whatever the settlement was, it’s not nearly enough. Where does he go to get his reputation back? Despite knowing his innocence, Columbia placed a cloud over this young man for the rest of his life by encouraging and helping Sulkowicz ruin him. I hope some day she will “Carry That Weight” of realizing just what she’s done.

  4. This should put ALL thinking people on notice what Columbia University is willing to stand for–no intellectual nor moral integrity.
In the coming market collapse for university education, being on the bottom is not the place to be.

  5. Now let’s do an analysis of her behavior:

    1) she chase him
    2) She catches him
    3) He doesn’t react the way she wants him to.

She feels (projects) the feeling of being used.
In fact she knows (begins to format a different perception of reality) that she has been raped because the sex wasn’t consensual in outcome (i.e. she lived happily ever after).
She begins to live a delusional lifestyle that compensates or overshadows any potential responsibility she may have had in order to pass it onto our boy.

    Diagnose freely folks.

  6. In a just world, she would have been kicked out of school and indicted, tried, and imprisoned for filing false charges. And the victim of her false charge should have sued her into oblivion.
