McCain Endorses Discharge Amnesty Push

Breitbart: Ailing Sen. John McCain has tweeted his support for the business-backed campaign to pass a bipartisan amnesty bill through the House via the discharge-petition process.

The proposed amnesty s being pushed by a coalition of almost 25 GOP legislators and the Democratic Party.

If 25 GOP legislators sign the petition by June 18, they can ally with 193 Democrats to schedule a floor vote by June 25. That vote would allow many GOP legislators to back a business-backed amnesty that would tamp down wage growth by providing amnesty and work-permits to at least two million younger illegals over the next few years, plus several million additional chain-migration arrivals after 2030.

So far, House Speaker Paul Ryan has not used his power to shut down the amnesty push, for example, by announcing he will keep the House out of session on June 25. Ryan, however, has scheduled a June 7 caucus meeting to talk about the amnesty.

The discharge-petition debate rules would also provide political cover for many GOP legislators by allowing them to vote for an alternative bill with many popular reforms. But legislators and donors know the second bill would get fewer votes than the amnesty bill, and so would be defeated under the special rules of the amnesty-discharge debate.

McCain has long been a supporter of big amnesty bills. In 2006, 2007, and 2013 he allied with Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer to push amnesty bills that would have done little or nothing to stop illegal immigration or to protect Americans from the economic impact of a flooded labor-market. Those business-backed amnesty bills were deeply unpopular among voters and played a large role in helping Donald Trump win the presidency.  more here

  1. McCains head rot is so bad he can be smelled from yards away yet he still insists on causing as much trouble as he’s able. You’re building quite a legacy John, you’ll be despised for decades.

  2. Has always been; and still is, a GWB tool!
Will be GWB’s #1 tool til well after his death. Expect GWB to use his funeral to blast America! As in “Kinder Gentler amnesty”.

  3. Further proof that McCain is dain bramaged and should resign immediately.

Typical gutless decision by congresscritters. DC seems to have only two ways to deal with any issue. Either throw money at the problem or figure out how to gain votes and kickbacks from it. Right, wrong or common sense never seems to be a factor. It would be nice to see some faction grow a pair of cojones and stand up for the enforcement of existing laws rather than pandering to some lawbreaking anti American media blessed group that thinks they are special.

Certain political parties are all for illegals as they want to flood their rolls with welfare sponges that historically vote liberal. These parties have demonstrated that there is no low that they will not stoop to, including all types of voter fraud. These actions suck and stronger federal laws need to be enforced or enacted to maintain and improve voter integrity country wide.

Enough of liberal states changing registration laws to include illegals and felons or gerrymandering to increase the odds of chosen candidates winning.
The liberals will never allow fair voting as they could never win a race again. It’s gonna get messy.
Sure would be a good time for another “Operation Wetback”.

  4. Just dying to give Trump a satisfying veto. Sad!

How come none of the articles about this stupid bill ever mention the word veto? The game must not be about putting out actual legislation, but looking busy on something other than deep state criminality.

  5. Ryan can screw America one more time as he exits the House and not worry about re-election.

McCain can screw America one more time as he exits life, but will face near immediate judgement.

Neither have the best interests of the US at the forefront and both will face consequences.

  6. Names, please. I want the names of the traitorous RINO republicans who are supporting this. And, by the way, since when did the phony “11 million” illegals become “2 million” illegals? The real number, as we all know is closer to 50 million. The 11 million number has been floating around since B. J. Clinton was president. Donald Trump is good, but I don’t think he’s deported 48 million illegals. Yet.

  7. I despise being screwed over by well dressed, perfumed, unaccountable criminals, over and over again. It amazes me that so few, can screw so many and keep getting away with it. Plus these public servants get extremely rich having intercourse with us. Why the hell are we so impotent as a people? Oh yeah, our house is divided. We the people are so divided that we can barely tolerate each other. Meanwhile the criminal legislators are smug and happy as they get some. Again.
I love this country that I was born in. I Hate the criminals who run this country, and steal all of our rights away, so they can sell them back to us. Some rights, of course, we will never get back, like freedom. (if we don’t take our freedom back by force)
Fat chance of that, right? Disgusting. I’m chuffed beyond words.

  8. Is McCain even really tweeting. Obviously these are his sentiments but has anyone even seen if the guy is still functioning. Tweets from a guy that has been MIA for 6 months are pretty meaningless.

  9. It seems the only way to be rid of these vexatious parasites is to exit the Union.

What? Oh. I meant professional better parasites.

What? What? Oh. Uh… I meant The European Union, of course.

  10. Some stupid “journalist” asked Sarah Sanders today if President Trump is reaching out to McCain to bury the hatchet. WTF? Who is it that specified the President was not welcome to his funeral? We need a constitutional amendment that prohibits a senator from hanging onto his office for 6 months from his deathbed.
