McConnell, Emblematic of Republicans’ Past, Is The Least Popular Politician In America

Federalist-

Even with bad approval ratings, the nation’s top four Democratic leaders are more popular than Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

According to an aggregate of polls maintained by RealClearPolitics, just 24 percent of Americans view McConnell favorably, compared to 59 percent who say otherwise for a net negative of 35 percent. McConnell’s Democratic counterpart in the upper chamber, Sen. Chuck Schumer, enjoys a 32 percent favorability rating, while Nancy Pelosi’s stands at 34 percent, Vice President Kamala Harris at 40 percent, and President Joe Biden at 43 percent.

The low ratings signal a challenge for McConnell in the GOP leader’s effort to maintain control of the Republican conference beyond next year’s midterms. With one seat needing to flip in a hostile year for Democrats, Republicans hold the advantage to reclaim a Senate majority. The season’s primary battles, however, showcase McConnell’s simmering unpopularity in a changing Republican Party outside the Beltway. more

  1. I put little credence in these popularity pols. The dems place ideology over effectiveness and will always support “their guy” regardless of sentience, opprobrium, or world class levels of stupidity. We don’t play that game, will call a spade a spade and will rate low level garbage politicians for what they are,

This also speaks to the level of tepidness and apathy with your average GOP voter. Why should I get behind a party that has Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy as their avowed leaders? Swamp creatures can never be relied on to speak for me or share my values.

Until “my party” gets serious about representing me and the millions of voters that I stand with, they will get the back of my hand and the accompanying derision that follows.

  2. It’s clear to me that Mitch’s preferred role is as the leader of the pack of the minority party, and works actively to see to it that the Senate is controlled by the damned Dems. He’s very good at it. But what he’s absolutely the best at is pissing me off.

  3. I listen to one of Seattle’s two establishment Republican radio shows for the five minutes it takes me to get from the commuter rail to the office every morning. Yesterday the host was having an orgasm over Brandon’s poll numbers. What the dimwit failed to mention is the Republican establishment isn’t much, if any, better.

To them it is all a game and nothing but a game.

  4. Your headline is wrong! Ronny hater Mitch is NOT EMBLEMATIC OF GOP PAST; he is emblematic of Bush Republicans. Ronny is emblematic of GOP past!
    Ronny was honest.
    Bush Republicans lie!
