Media Outrage over White House ‘Exclusion’ is Fake News

Big Journalism:

CNN and other outlets were in high dudgeon Friday afternoon after several news outlets were apparently excluded from a White House press gaggle, complaining that conservative, “pro-Trump” outlets like Breitbart News were allowed into the briefing.

Those excluded called it “absolutely unacceptable” and described it as an attack on the freedom of the press.

CNN’s media correspondent Brian Stelter accused the Trump administration from trying to “cherry-pick” questions, defeating the media’s ability to hold the president accountable.

Dean Baqeut, executive editor of the New York Times, said: “Nothing like this has ever happened at the White House in our long history of covering multiple administrations of different parties.”

However, as the New York Times itself reported in 2015, President Barack Obama met privately with liberal reporters and columnists frequently throughout his tenure in office — “more than a dozen” times. And although he occasionally invited conservative columnists, “Liberal-leaning columnists from newspapers tend to dominate at Mr. Obama’s secret sessions.”

Obama’s private briefings for liberal members of the media, which excluded conservatives, were well-documented. A few:

  1. I don’t think the outrage is fake, only the story.

Heck, I wasn’t making any particular effort to pay strict attention, and even I remember Barky talking onlu to friendlies when the problems really started hitting Obamacare, especially the website fiesco.

  2. NPR is running off the rails!

Go Donald Go Donald Go Go GO!

And the snotty NPR announced Trump would be watching the Oscar TV show, and he wouldn’t like it.

Trump & Melania are throwing a Governors Ball the night of the Oscars.

  3. It can only look like Trump is off the rails because he in front of a paradigm shift. The momentum is in a direction “they” do not accept, and “they” know it. But they do not know how to react to a guy that tells the establishment Republicans to either get on board or be run over.

This is the big shift that has occurred and it seems that I am the only one that appreciates this except Trump. But, then again, I have been referred to as “a Donald Trump lately.”

“Your message resonates, but your delivery is lacking.” Well fuck you, if you want someone to lie to you… look elsewhere. I deal in reality.

  4. The liberal media cabal doesn’t need to be at the press briefings because they abandoned the NEWS business a very long time ago. They can stay in their BS world -no one is listening anymore.

  5. Proud of the day about 15 years ago when I nearly got killed being blown off a ladder on our short roof to mount a tv antenna to the chimney to get broadcast hdtv for free. Cable never got a penny from us. Nevah evah.
I remember those days when cities were ‘negotiating’ monopoly ‘markets’ back in the 80s.
