As the Hastings Tribune reports, Davis was terminated from her position as APD’s internal affairs commander “for her alleged involvement in a botched sex crimes investigation into the husband of an Atlanta police sergeant.”

This police chief looks like a good candidate for the Capitol Police the Dems can hire.
Another affirmative action hire, what could possibly go wrong. No longer does any govt. agency hire on the basis of merit or the best possible candidate regardless of color or race. It’s strictly equity which leads to messes like this every time guarandamnteed.
Details are still a bit sketchy but it looks like a 6th cop, a white cop, Preston Hemphill, is going down as well. Hemphill was involved in the original traffic stop, his body cam revealed him joining in on the beating while Tyre was on the ground.
I’m guessing he wasn’t charged with 2nd-degree murder like the others because these charges are primarily the result of the second encounter after Tyre tried to run away.
The Chief was not an AA hire as all three of the finalists for the job were black as well. She was an outsider who bypassed the vetting process and was put into the job as a favor to a council member.
