  1. I’m not even religious, but I say Merry Christmas to everyone this time of year in both business and personal contexts, because I know sooner or later it’s going to irritate somebody.

One has to find amusements where one can.

  2. I think a snappy comeback to “Happy Holidays” is “which one?”. And for people you know who insist on saying “Happy Holidays”, every other holiday say the same thing to them. Memorial Day? Happy Holiday. 4th of July? Happy Holiday. And so on.

  3. Christ is the only reason for the season. No other faith is based on the True and Living God incorporated with His creation through salvation. All of the giving and benevolence exists because of the birth, death and Resurrection of Christ.
    KJV Luke 2:8-14
“8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
    Yes, Merry Christmas!
BTW, Santa, even though a characture of the real Bishop Nicholas of Myra is not antithesis to Christmas. Comparing Islam or other pagan religions hijacking/piggybacking the Christmas season, prompting “Happy Holidays” would be more logical.
