Mexican Border State Cops Executed U.S. Tourists and Covered It Up, Say Sources

Breitbart Texas: SALTILLO, Coahuila — Authorities in this border state set their sights on a group of police officers believed to have executed two U.S. tourists and then covered up the crime by claiming the victims were armed drug smugglers.

Initially, members of a metropolitan special response unit known as “GROM” claimed that two men riding in a maroon pickup ran a checkpoint along the highway that connects this state with Zacatecas. As Breitbart Texas initially reported, Coahuila state authorities falsely claimed that the two men ran a checkpoint and then opened fire on police officers, who chased them. In response, police officers opened fire and killed the two alleged gunmen. The two men have since been identified as U.S. tourists. According to Mexico’s Reforma, the victims were identified as Demetrius Atkins and Edgar Valdez Rodriguez, a Mexican national but legal resident in Missouri.

  1. Thoroughly corrupt and murderous thugs under the color of authority. I’ve been to Mexico years ago and personally saw them extort money from Americans. This was a common occurrence then and I’m sure still is. Any of the Latin American countries treat Americans the same. They think all Americans are wealthy and are ripe plums to pluck. I’d never go back. Phuck them.

  2. About 15 years ago we were thinking about putting a Sports Fisher down in Cabo. We starting talking investigating it and started hearing about how it was common practice for Mexican Cops to plant drugs on Americans boats and confiscate them. Shortly after we heard about this there was a rash of murdered American fisherman. I can see not a lot has changed.

  3. Skarew going south of the border. Coronas are a buck, big deal.
There are so many beautiful places here in Arizona, there is no need to go see a desert that has an ocean front, and murderous, corrupt, assholes with badges.

  4. Traveled the back roads of the Yucatan
back in ’82 in a rental car.It was an
adventure of a life time.Beautiful people
and places.Never worried about a thing.
I WOULD NOT STEP FOOT IN MEXICO OR ANY 2ND
OR 3RD WORLD SHIT HOLE AGAIN! EVER!!!
