Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has blamed the U.S. government for the current cartel turf war that is terrorizing residents of the state of Sinaloa. The politician claimed that if U.S. authorities had not worked to arrest one of the Sinaloa Cartel’s top leaders, the country would be at peace. more
scam-lo? damn-low? cram-low? down-low?
It is well known Mexico’s government is just as corrupt as ours, or more so. The cartels have the majority of the politicians in their pockets (similar to the Big Guys 10% and Congress’ off book incomes). If not compromised financially (rare) Mexican politicians also operate out of fear (the cartels can be very brutal, sort of like certain agencies within our own government). I would think some of our own politicians operate out of fear, also. So, why would anyone pay attention to the accusations by Mexico’s president? We got our own issues to worry about.
Not dangerous enough if the supply of invaders hasn’t dried up.
Are we getting a front row seat to seeing how, what, when, a society evolves out of tribal/gang force? Well, we’re arguably in the fight ourselves.
Of course, Manuel Lopez Obrador is owned by the cartel.
