For decades I have watched how the people of Mexico are screwed by their government. It doesn’t matter if it is the PAN or the PRI, it is always the same thing. It doesn’t matter if it was Benito Juarez or Maximillian…the leaders stank then and they still stink.
Instead of liberals criticizing Americans for wanting to close the border they should be criticizing the Mexican government for creating a hostile environment. Put the blame where it belongs.
I grew up in San Diego and came of age shortly after the poor bastards decided to vote in socialism.
They broke up the farms, gave them to the SJWs, and they promptly ate all the chickens. As a result eggs sometimes reached a street price of 1$ each during peak tourist times.
Keep in mind that you could rent a nice apartment at that time for less than $200 a month.
Here I could buy a flat of eggs for 30 cents. I would drive across the border with a trunk load, then buy fireworks and head back home.
I could make as much as $300 a trip.
