Michelle Malkin: ‘My Base Is Fed Up with Fox’ News Channel; Murdoch ‘Treacherous Bedfellow’

Now more than ever Fox needs a firm hand on the wheel. In many ways, the channel faces the same rebellion from the grassroots that’s cleaving the GOP. “I can tell you, my base is fed up with Fox,” conservative commentator Michelle Malkin told me.

Malkin, who quit Fox as a contributor, actually goes after Murdoch for supporting immigration reform in her new book Sold Out (she calls him a “treacherous bedfellow”). Rush Limbaugh, whom Ailes first put on television in the early ’90s, has said he “no longer watches cable news.” A Limbaugh friend told me the dig was made explicitly about Fox.  More

  1. Yep. we are fed up with all the lies and big government. I try very hard now to not buy products from dem controlled companies and had some success with the “buy partisan” app that shows the politics of many products. As for fox I cut the cable TV off and just use internet. They have become pretty lame.

  2. I gave up Fox right after Trump declared when the Fox pundits used the same left wing attacks against Trump as MSNBC uses against patriots. This was before I decided to support Trump.

Krauthammer called Trump a “rodeo clown” but never gave reasons for that label. Will and Steve Hayes called Trump names but gave no substance to back them up.

I don’t need talking heads telling me what I should believe. Give me your opinion and make a convincing argument. I’ll think for myself.

  3. I listen to Fox via satellite radio during drive time – I find myself changing the station more often. The hosts, guests and panels are too predictable. It seems like there is a 90/10 rule in effect: 90% are moderate to left, only 10% are conservative (mostly military commentators).

Also, it may just be me, but Fox hosts have a tendency to criticize leftist personalities such as Hillary, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Pelosi, Reid, et. al. but so much their policies.

Based on listening, not watching, it sounds to me as if O’Reily is pro-amnesty and Megan Kelly is a hard core feminist.

  4. You may not like Fox and they seem to have gotten more moderate over the years but their news reporting is still sound and for every O’Reilly they have they have a Gutman. They are still a conservative voice out in the media wilderness and ponder this: When Murdoch passes away or retires either his son (most likely) or his daughter will take the reigns of the media empire and both of them are liberal progressives. Roger Aisles will probably leave of his own accord then (he’s getting well up there in age as well) and you soon see a real change in Foxnews at that point. I suspect the only hope would be that Foxnews gets carved out of the empire and sold because the kids are bored of the news and want to play in the entertainment group.

  5. You guys do realize that this article was written by a New York Prog who has had FN in his sites for years and has an agenda, namely to slam FN so he can sell more copies of his dopey book…….where he slams FN?

You can bet the reasons this MSNBC watching Manhattan lib world changer does not like FN is not even remotely similar to why Malkin is upset with FN. For my own self, I hate how often I tune in and see that clown Juan Williams.Their lefty presentations, in an attempt to be fair and balanced, usually have some mud slinging partisan hack who is long on insults but short on facts, so tedious.

Lately I have been watching more One America News, check them out.

  6. My wife just last week wondered what Michelle was up to, she said she hadn’t seen her in some time. I told her that I occasionally still see her articles online, but also agreed that she seems to have faded a little.

This deal on Faux News I guess is the reason for her scarcity and I agree with her Faux pisses me off more and more. About the only time I watch any TV is when I’m home alone around lunch time. Usually I will start off with Faux, then as the commercials come on I flip to whatever channel isn’t on commercial break.

In recent months I’ve been yelling at the goofs on Faux more and it isn’t the first thing I flip on while slathering some bread with mustard. That Shemp dickhead is the absolute worst and seriously did I see Bill Oreally the other day absolutely stunned by Eric Bowling and Gayraldo completely ignoring Jeb Bush?

It was as if Oreally was about to cry when those two said Bush was no longer in the hunt.

  7. Fox News has been in a steady leftward drift for years. Using Karl Rove as their electoral guru, hiring the repugnant Geraldo and giving him face time, and the latest shock, putting the vacuous Megan McCain on some of their panels??? I now avoid Fox like the plague. Long live Mark Levin.

  8. Me too. I really started to watch less and less starting with Shep “Rainbow Warrior” Smith’s “fabulous” Katrina reports–but the Trump ambush made me say, “enough”!

For the record, I’m not a Trump supporter-but will if he gets the nod.

  9. 1985 i stopped watching nightly news. Was tired of them (dan rather in particular) insulting conservatives. Even as a young 35 year old, I saw them for what they were. Fast forward to 1992. I turned on fox. What a relief, I wasnt insulted. Kept the love affair until 2009 or so when they began to turn on me. Now since 2012 I have been FOX FREE.

  10. As the head of Brit B Sky B Network Murdock was a MASSIVE purveyor of pron (and Trump owns one of the biggest strip clubs in Vegas I believe), and that is how the ever-so-conservative Murdock started.
