Michigan Barber Who Defied Whitmer’s Lockdown Has All Charges Against Him Dropped

Lifezette-

All charges have been dropped against the Michigan barber who made headlines earlier this year for defying the strict coronavirus lockdown orders of Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

“Our client’s thrilled and pleased that he’s been vindicated,”David Kallman, an attorney representing 77 year-old barber Karl Manke, told the Lansing State Journal.

Manke made national headlines back in March, when he defied Whitmer by reopening his barber shop in Owosso. At the time, he argued that the state had no right to take away his livelihood as he also pledged to keep his business open “til Jesus comes.” more

  1. No doubt he will be harassed by MI Dept of Revenue, Health and Safety etc, etc, etc. He better make sure all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. Good luck sir, you are a brave citizen patriot.

  2. If Gretchen did fabricate her own kidnapping, she likely believes that God would drop His charges when she reaches Judgement.

OTOH, at 77 Karl still feels he should earn an honest living.

  3. I will echo what others have said. I applaud him for his resistance, but I fear that Whitmer and the Democratic PTB will retaliate.
Mr. Manke – I hope you continue to be successful. If I lived within a reasonable distance, I would gladly drive to your shop to get my quickly diminishing hair cut by you. God bless!!
