Michigan: Republican Senate candidate John James Concedes

Just The News: Republican Senate candidate John James congratulated Democratic incumbent Sen. Gary Peters in a video Tuesday on winning in the Michigan election contest.

The concession came after the Michigan election results were certified on Monday.

“Michigan, the 2020 battle for this senate seat is over but the battle for the future of this great country will never be over and I will never retire from that battlefield ever and neither should you,” James said in the video.

“God’s grace is sufficient,” James said. “I will continue to praise him, not based upon how good I feel, but because of how great he is. He is worthy to be praised. And I will never give up on Michigan because Jesus never gave up on me. So, God bless you, God bless Michigan and God bless America.” more

  1. On a local note Rob Astorino lost…BUT he won the most COUNTIES in NY State when he ran against that asshole Cumo for gov.

He WON 5/6 of NY state but LOST because of the BLUE cities namely the biggest, in this state, NYC.

There are MANY states that have THIS problem…

  2. Sold out? I’m suspecting some family pressure and some business promises:

James Group is a global supply chain management service company… president of JGI and CEO of its subsidiary Renaissance Global Logistics, which handles export logistics for Ford Motor Co., General Motors Co. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. His brother, Lorron, is CEO of JGI, and their father remains chairman… https://www.crainsdetroit.com/awards/john-james-40-under-40

Damn. I was especially drawn to him because my boy in spec ops also is a WP grad and Apache pilot… maybe that wasn’t thinking clearly.

  3. My understanding is that if the two Senate seats from Georgia go to the Republicans, they would have a 52-seat majority, a +1 hedge to Romney-proof the Senate against that backstabbing son-of-a-bitch should he cave to the Dems again. Does this now mean that we’re looking at a simple 51-seat majority if the Repubs take both seats? Better than nothing, I suppose, but that ain’t good. Someone needs to lean on that fucker HARD to keep him in line.
