Mike Lee Not Under Consideration For The Supreme Court

DC: Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah is not in serious contention to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

TheDCNF reported Monday that Trump has narrowed the field of potential candidates to two top contenders: Judges Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.

A senior administration official told TheDCNF that Lee is on the list of possible nominees, but that other candidates are being given more serious consideration. Other sources connected to the process confirm that the senator is not a frontrunner, and senior GOP Senate aides are extremely skeptical about his viability.  more here

  1. I bet one of Erickson’s moles got fired last week for leaking that bait.

Speaking of nevertrumpers pretending to work ion rehab, Glenn Beck was on the radio this morning.

  2. I’m hoping for Barrett.

Reason 1: Stick to Feinstein and fellow democrats who want a religious litmus test for SCOUS.
Reason 2: The justice is a women and I want enjoy watching the left twist itself in knots for opposing a qualified individual based on gender.

  3. I’m with you Dr. Tar. I would love to hear an SCOTUS nominee respond to Feinstein by saying something like “Let me make sure I understand your position: You are saying my religion disqualifies me from a position because you don’t believe that, as a Catholic I am mentally capable of logically applying the Constitution?”

  4. Aside from Lee’s creepy denouncement he taped in his dungeon, I’ll always remember the inauguration photo of Lee in the very last row, sitting by himself in a cheap disposable plastic poncho, arms folded in defensive position, on the verge of tears.
As was the case with Romney, Lee was never a contendah for SCOTUS, nor any other position.
