Millions of Chinese-made toys recalled across the US after they resulted in deaths of children

JTN: Chinese-manufactured Calico Critters toys resulted in the deaths of an infant and a toddler, resulting in 3.2 million of the objects being recalled in the United States.

These toys were formerly sold on Amazon and Walmart and were recalled earlier this week.

According to a recent notice published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, these Calico Critters are a choking hazard to children.

“The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Epoch Everlasting Play LLC, of Pine Brook, New Jersey, are announcing the recall of all Calico Critters flocked animal figures and sets that were sold with bottle and pacifier accessories, which totals more than 3.2 million units,” the notice reads. “The bottle and pacifier accessories pose a choking hazard to children.” more here

  1. Yeah, they’re not “toys”… they’re “death objects.”

The Chinese sure have destroyed their own ‘brand,’ haven’t they? Does anyone in the Western world – and even the rest of Asia – have anything good to say about China now?

    I don’t think so.

  2. Hell, you can’t find a US toy maker or manufacturers, everything is designed in the US then contracted out to China.

The enemy controls our economy, food chain, farm ground, ports and our Government (Biden and his weaponized Agencies.

Made in America used to be a slogan a decade or two ago.

  3. Why in the world we’re buying 100s of billions of dollars of crap from China is a mystery. Virtually everything in a H/D, Target or W/M is made in China. All of that shows up on our lopsided balance of trade now close to half a trillion/year.

It’s corny to say so but we should be making our own pharmaceuticals and crappy toys. Tariff the shit out of Chinese manufactured goods. Trump did it and that’s a huge reason why they “worked” to get him out. He did same with Mexico when he rewrote NAFTA.

The power we have with the largest and wealthiest consumer market in the world is awesome. Too bad a few thousand America haters have control. Now they want to eliminate natural gas along with strangling domestic energy production.

Just because our enemies are numb struck watching this idiocy play out doesn’t mean they aren’t putting the screws to us.

  4. My grandfather was in his 40’s during the Depression and WW2 and never got over it. Didn’t buy a lot of stuff and wouldn’t buy a Japanese or German car.

I have the same attitude when it comes to consumerism. Quality over quantity and convenience. Buy local and American-made when possible; search, postpone purchases, pay more, buy used, or do without before I hand my money over to the murderous Chinese regime.

It frustrates me that there are items (and component parts) that are impossible to find nonChinese sources for and in those cases (mostly computer and phone, which the kids who service them consider antiques), I minimize the purchase and make it last as long as possible.

Result: I am as patriotic in my purchases as my nation’s economy and policies permit me to be. And I have less clutter and crap in my life –and no choking hazards for the grandkids.
