  1. So all that money I spent wining and dining the ladies in the fancy restaurant’s was a waste of money? I could have taken them to Arby’s. I’ve got coupons for Arby’s.

  2. ..seriously, though, is it really news that a church leader in this day and age can also be a hypocrite?

It should NOT be. After all, God TOLD us it would happen…

“13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
    2 Corinthians 11:13-15

…the Devil NEVER misses a Church service. He is the ULTIMATE Democrat, there to divide, to disrespect, to spread falsehoods and to ensnare even the Pastor in his time-tested temptations. Every now and then, he GETS one, and probably takes SPECIAL pride in knowing his Democrat children will trumpet it far and wide as a defeat for all Christianity.

But it will NOT go well for the fallen…

“1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.

2 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.”
    Jeremiah 23:1-2

…God knows this will happen. And God takes care of it. This church needs a new leader now, perhaps the NEXT fellow will be more fearful of the Lord as a result.

Satan won NOTHING. Jesus is STILL the victor. The only shame is to a fallen man, and even HE may find peace with the Lord, if only he seeks it…

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
    2 Chronicles 7:14

…but for all that, focus on the word “Accused”. If the Kavenaugh trial taught us NOTHING else, it’s that ANYONE can accuse. Facts are not necessary, and the more seemingly righteous of men you can try to bring down, the better.

    …and THAT’S a favorite trick of the Devil, too…

  3. …it’s also worth looking at the university.

    “Truman State University’s Mission Statement

Not the worst thing I’ve ever read, but certainly very secular.

And the Lord reminds us of the dangers of double-mindedness…

“5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.”
    James 1:5-10

…tough to balance the secular and the spiritual. If true, he may have spent too much time in one to the detriment of the other…
