Mitch McConnell Laments the Problem with Voters

CTH: Earlier today, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell discussed the greatest problem for the Republican Party as it exists with voters. Allowing people to vote is not in the best interests of the Republican Party. If the politicians could just devise a government system that didn’t need voters to support it, things would be much better.

As noted by Mitch McConnell, “Our ability to control the primary outcome was quite limited in 2022 because of the support of the former president. Hopefully in the next cycle, we’ll have quality candidates everywhere.” Unless and until the Republican Party can figure out how to get around the voting, installing the correct type of Republicans will always be problematic.

The ability of the American people to vote is THE major hurdle for the Republican Senate leadership to overcome. MORE

SNIP: Maybe it’s time to dig up specific dirt on Cocaine Mitch and his backers. No matter how insignificant they seem. Mitch is only useful to the left until he’s not.

  1. Gee Mitch, why don,t democrats have problems getting votes? Maybe you should look into stealing elections for republicans that should help pickup more voters, especially if their dead.

  2. We should follow the Democrat’s lead and offer quality candidates to the American public – like a demented old fool who never accomplished anything of note (Biden), a stroke victim (Fetterman) or avowed communists (e.g. Sanders).

Maybe the problem is that Republicans like Mitch not only refuse to support candidates selected by voters, but work to undermine them. Basically we now have two very similar political parties and are progressing towards a system where there is no meaningful choice. Time to enact term limits.

  3. McCONnell doubles down, refuses to take responsibility for his failed leadership. He is more concerned with controlling who the candidates are (supporting RINOs) and how much money he’ll spend to demonize and defeat Conservative candidates.

The voters aren’t the Problem, McCONnell and those around him certainly are. It is about control, when he consistently decides to back RINOs he further maintains a critical leadership role and “leads” the Senate in the wrong direction.
McCONnell the great RINO appeaser, He’ll bend over for Schummer and the democrats on any legislation he feels will benefit himself and his middle of the road (RINO) perception.
Principles? Mitch doesn’t need them. Listen to the voters? He doesn’t allow the will of the people to distract him from his establishment role and personal control.
A Self centered narcissist who thinks his role is to maintain the status quo of the Senate regardless of the long term damage to the Republic.
Go along, to get along Mitch is wrong for the GOP, the Senate and Wrong For Our Nation!!!

  4. Apparently McConnell doesn’t subscribe to the theory that people should govern themselves. This is nothing new. Statists, Nazis, Socialists, Monarchists, Communists, well, Totalitarians in general, and Nihilistic Totalitarians in specific, believe that the lot of mankind is, properly, slavery – with a core of Oligarchs (of which one will be de facto Dictator) at the top of the heap to direct.

Every man is the hero of his own story – and having amassed power, by whatever means, that man is corrupted and sees himself as god – all knowing – all powerful – if the ignorant slaves would just be content being ignorant slaves and worshipping at the shrine of the all-knowledgeable himself.

A damned good reason to institute term-limits – not just on elected maggots, but also on bureaucrats, appointees, judges, SES, and every white-collar maggot sucking on the gov’t teat. Say, a combined total of 12 years – elected, appointed, in the bureaucracy, in the NGOs, &c.

We’ve allowed the filth to accumulate until the fetid swamp is overflowing and polluting the entire country.

  5. A call for term limits? A cry for Decades !! What has happened?

Who in the House and the Senate would vote for this? Would it pass?
What States would recommend and support a Constitutional Amendment?

McCONnell, the Dem & GOP establishment will not allow it.
The system of power (critical leadership positions and Committee assignments) are based on longevity, not experience or intelligence.

  6. One of, if not THE greatest accomplishments of President Trump was to expose these politicians as the corrupt vermin they are. Mitch probably the worst. They are more concerned now about doing whatever it takes to keep their crimes hidden. Mitch turns his back on fellow republicans running for office, or worse…supports their democrat opponents, to insure the flow of cash from China, Ukraine, and who knows where else, keeps flowing. Donald Trump knows where the skeletons are buried, he has (had) the receipts, and it’s a full court press by the Uniparty to stop him.

  7. Mitch gets his bread buttered no matter who holds the majority in Congress or who sits in the White House. What he can’t have is a bunch of pesky, America-first types pulling back the covers and allowing sunlight to shine on our political cesspool.

  8. Translation: we (RINOs/GOPe) didn’t approve of who THE VOTERS IN OUR OWN PARTY chose in the primaries so we didn’t help get them elected … but that’s all those pesky voters, er, Trump’s fault not ours. 🙄
