Breitbart: President-elect Donald Trump will nominate Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his secretary of state, according to two sources close to the transition process speaking to NBC’s Andrea Mitchell. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to the report.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Tillerson was leading the field after former Mayor Rudy Giuliani took his name out of the running for the job. New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman reported that Tillerson was expected to meet with Trump today. more here

Unless we hear it straight from Trump, Bannon, Priebus, Conway or some other ‘official’ spox from the transition team, we’ll never know how serious Trump was in choosing Romney. Pure speculating, I’m guessing that there was (is?) a push from Priebus to hire people from his circle of associates and that seeing how his BFF, Paul Ryan, probably owes a favor to Romney, that’s how this got going in the first place. Then there is the recent talk of Romney’s niece to chair the RNC. Maybe someone else can clue me in on what is so special about Mitt Romney that he continues to have influence because I don’t understand that part.

Poor Mittens got punk’d by Trump. Dangling the job in front of him and Mittens jumping at the chance has exposed him to all. A public humiliation without saying a negative word. Mittens is done.
The senate confirmation questioning will consist of two areas. Man-made (fill in the blank), and Exxon’s Russian relationship.

Trump is the master of manipulation. He does things to get a reaction, a reaction is a true indicator of how a person feels, without the red paint and high heels of a public persona.

I noticed Mittens never went before the cameras to say what an idiot he had been during the campaign and how totally wrong he was. He still wouldn’t have gotten the job but he might have been more respected by the American people if he had.
