Mom of Laken Riley can’t hide anguish as illegal migrant appears in court over nursing student’s murder

The mother of nursing student who was allegedly killed by an illegal migrant in Georgia was brought to heartbreaking tears when her daughter’s accused murderer appeared at a court hearing.

Laken Riley, a nursing student at Augusta University College in Athens, was allegedly killed by Jose Ibarra in February. 

On Friday, Riley’s mother, Allyson Phillips was seen getting emotional in the courtroom as she held a tissue to her mouth and squeezed her eyes shut. 

At one point, Phillips was seen covering her eyes with tissues as a video played in court. 

Ibarra was in court for a motions hearing ahead of his schedule trial next month. Jury selection is expected to begin on November 13. 

He somberly sat in court as he wore translation headphones and a white button-down shirt.   more

  1. I am reminded of Fred Goldman, sitting in that courtroom and watching his son get murdered all over again by the acquittal of O.J.

    Knowing that real justice died in this country long ago, most DA’s are not very smart, and that there will be enormous pressure from the left to either derail the trial or mitigate both intent and punishment, I wonder if it is worth it, putting yourself through the process that will ultimately leave you still daughter-less and unsatisfied?

    God, and a close support group is her only help, the justice system won’t.

  2. Looks like allot of people working in the US government, if you can still call it a government, are guilty of aiding and abetting known criminals they helped get into the US.
