Mom outraged after elementary school pulls son’s teeth without her knowledge

EAG: BALTIMORE, Md. – A Baltimore mother is demanding answers after her 9-year-old son come home from school with three teeth missing.

Shanda Flemming told WJZ her son Michael participated in a visiting dental program at Beechfield Elementary/Middle School #256 last week for what she thought was routine cleanings, and she was outraged when the boy arrived home with several teeth missing.

Flemming said she was never notified by school officials about the procedure, which forced Michael to miss the bus and required him to walk nearly a mile home with a swollen mouth afterwards.

“I’m angry about this,” Flemming said. “I don’t think it should have happened like that.”

The boy lost one bottom front tooth, and two on his right side, one on top and another on the bottom. The third-grader appeared to be in serious pain when a WJZ reporter visited his home on Friday.

“They just said they was gonna clean my teeth,” Michael said.  MORE

  1. People who don’t read what they sign frequently have problems like this.

School was stupid not to call first anyway, though. They should have anticipated something like this happening.

Plenty of blame to go around here, for sure.

  2. Som thin wong. Were they his “milk” teeth? They usually fall out about age 7 or 8, Hell I remember pulling my own and putting them under my pillow. That’s how I got my first “Assault Rifle.” FFS!

  3. Were these permanent teeth? My God, how amazingly far down the sewer, Baltimore has fallen. I used to work there when the place was decent with good restaurants and the Inner Harbor was a great place to sail to from Annapolis and hole up for the evening. Now, I wouldn’t go unless heavily armed…

  4. The government was completely justified in pulling those teeth, because right now, doctors a lot of times are forced to make decisions based on the fee payment schedule that’s out there. The doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, ‘You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid’s tonsils out,’

  5. I’m not a dentist but has anybody thought that maybe he was having molar eruptions. Having non perm teeth in the way can be a problem.
It is my assumption that these were non perm teeth and the dentist thought they had to be removed.
When the government gives you all you need while you’re on the plantation, why bitch now.
I think somebody sees dollar signs.
    Not buyin’ it.

  6. Fantasy: I’d ask to have a talk with the administrator. Then when I’d get her alone in the conference room, sucker punch her and tie her down on the table. Then out come the rag and water pitcher. I figure a little water-boarding might do her good, especially since I don’t really need any answers and just want to utterly terrify her.

    Repeat: fantasy

  7. They let the kid wander the streets after anesthesia. I had to sign documents swearing an adult was going to pick me up, their name, number, etc when I went under anesthesia. Not allowed to leave in a cab, or public transportation, either.

Someone needs their ass twisted into a pretzel.

  8. at a minimum, the School District and the Tooth Quack need to cough up the dough for a real dentist, not Dr Mengele, to install three implants to replace the ripped-out teeth of this young child.

This is the kind of shit that goes on in Britain with their NHS Natl Health Service and would have happened on a widespread basis here if our Presient Trump hadn’t SHITCANNED ObamaCare.
