‘My Life Is Worth Living’

Breitbart: Frank Stephens, a man with Down syndrome, told a congressional committee on Wednesday that his life is “worth living” while condemning the “final solution” proposed by abortion advocates who would kill babies with the genetic condition.

“Seriously, I don’t feel I should have to justify my existence. Is there really no place for us in the world?” Mr. Stephens, a screen actor and spokesman for people with Down syndrome, told the assembly. “Surely happiness is worth something.”

“Let’s be America, not Iceland or Denmark,” Stephens said, referring to recent reports chronicling the near-100 percent abortion rate of unborn children diagnosed with Down syndrome in those countries. read more

  1. The happiest congregant at church has Down Syndrome.
The hardest working bag boy at supermarket has Down Syndrome.

These beautiful people, and all people with mental & physical difficulties, deserve loving, fulfilling lives.

    Abortion is genocide.

  2. I recall in high school walking past a home where a Downs man lived. He was severely retarded. I was scared everytime I had to walk by the house if he was sitting outside. Often times he would try to get up and run after me. Back in those days there was no testing available, and there were plenty of Downs people around. They were placed in homes on the taxpayers dime. Some were functional and some weren’t . Is Stephen Hawkings functional still? Sarah Palin made the choice to take care of her Downs child. I believe it’s the parents responsibility and not the taxpayer. Tough call.

  3. By the way, Patricia Heaton is a Christian who puts he career on the line to live he faith. In the past, she has said words to the effect of “let them fire me, I’ll find another line of work”.
