Just The News: NASA on Tuesday began releasing the long-awaited first images of deep space captured by the James Webb Space Telescope, ushering in what the space agency called the “dawn of a new era in astronomy.”
The agency began releasing the photos on Tuesday morning, publishing them to its website in what it called “first wave of full-color scientific images and spectra the observatory has gathered.”
The images were “selected by an international committee of representatives from NASA, ESA, CSA, and the Space Telescope Science Institute,” NASA said. more

If you click on the SMACS0723 tab – everything you see without lens flare is a galaxy. In addition, if you look for a moment, you’ll start to notice a fair number of the galaxies seem smeared out a bit, collectively tracing nearly concentric circles, or to us older types, resembling grooves on a record. These galaxies aren’t really like that, but the enormous mass in the center of the image actually warps spacetime enough that the light from the more distant galaxies is distorted on it’s path to us. This is called gravitational lensing, and was predicted by Einstein.
I sadly distrust practically anything coming from our government these days, including Climate Change Muslim Outreach NASA, my first thoughts from seeing the first ‘pics’ were that they were too computer-generated & too enhanced … too neat … nature isn’t ‘neat’
