NATIONAL SECURITY AT STAKE IN ROCKET ENGINE DEBATE

ReaganBaby: No matter which party wins the White House in November our next Commander in Chief will inherit a world far more unstable than at any point in recent history.  From the rapid expansion of ISIS, to recent nuclear tests in North Korea, to the many problems in Afghanistan and Iraq, the very real threats to America and its allies have never been more evident.  Roughly 150,000 U.S. troops are stationed in more than 150 countries around the world and they are the tip of the spear in keeping our country safe and secure.

That is why it’s deeply troubling that some in Congress are taking active steps that would harm the ability of our men and women in uniform to complete their missions and potentially deprive our country’s ability to monitor threats abroad.  Over the next five years, our military and intelligence communities expect to launch at least 34 national security and intelligence gathering satellites into space.  These highly sensitive, billion dollar payloads, will help replace aging satellite technology and modernize our systems in critical areas such as classified intelligence gathering, nuclear monitoring, intercepting terrorist communications, military communications and global navigation.  more

  1. Nearly everything congress and the agencies have done should be above politics and in the interest of the Nation. Yet, they choose to fund pork projects in each other’s districts, ignore corruption, waste, counter productive social programs, funding illegal immigration, bullshit arts programs, funding Obamacare, funding planned parenthhood, patronage and nepotism growing the federal govt., supporting muslim terrorists and award preferred contracts to heavy contributors.
Not only is our National Security at risk, but the Nation itself.
Reduce and Limit the Federal Government to the duties and responsibilities enumerated in the Constitution.

  2. Someone is going to inherit this mess. And they will either try to capitulate and appease those countries who have outspent us and have an actual plan to annihilate us or they will do what Reagan did after Carter gutted our military. It’s impossible to negotiate from a position of weakness. I just pray that we don’t have a repeat of the early 80’s where every nut job, anti-nuke, Rachel Carson, commie love dove comes out of the woodwork to protest. Because this time they will all be legally high, naked or wearing a bomb vest.
