NBC announced on Monday that it will not be airing the Golden Globes awards show in 2022 following a series of incidents that have left the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) fighting a public relations disaster over its hiring policies and history.
“We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform,” the Comcast-owned network said this morning. “However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right. As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes. Assuming the organization executes on its plan, we are hopeful we will be in a position to air the show in January 2023.”
WarnerMedia, Netflix and Amazon also cut ties with the HFPA based on their “collective lack of confidence in the nonprofit group to enact serious systemic reform,” according to Deadline. more here

I look for the red carpet dresses online because my Mom and I loved watching that together through the years. Mom doesn’t watch the awards now (it’s too political) and I don’t care for any of the lame woke actors on parade so…phooey on it all.
I can’t wait to not watch it…
I worked very hard for my money. I’m not giving any of it to these spawns of Satan by watching their movies and television shows and I’m sure as hell not watching a program that allows them to pat themselves on the back while they look down their noses and preach to us.
And here I bought all the refreshments for the party!
If only the FCC would stop airing NBC altogether.

Rat and pigeon. Amazing. What I like is videos of big lions bringing down Cape Buffalo. It’s more fun than watching the NFL. That’s athleticism, courage, and hunting skill vs brute strength. Usually, but not always, the lions win.
