NBC Releases Portion of Secretly Recorded Audio of John Kelly Firing Omarosa Manigault

[…]  JOHN KELLY: I’m only going to stay for a couple of minutes. These are lawyers. We’re going to talk to you about leaving the White House. It’s come to my attention, over the last few months, that there’s been some pretty, in my opinion, significant integrity issues related to you and use of government vehicles and some other issues. And they’ll, they’ll, they’ll walk you through the legal aspects of this. But there is some, from my view, there’s some money issues and other things, but from my view, the integrity issues are very serious. I’m stuck with my past experience and that is, when we hold people accountable in the military, I would, I compare what I see here at the White House and other issues that I’ve had to deal with and say what would I do to this, in this case if I was in the Pentagon dealing with a Marine or a soldier or something like that? And the issue that you may or may not have a full appreciation for, but I think you do, this would be a pretty high level of accountability, meaning a court-martial. We’re not suggesting any legal action here.

Conservative Tree House: Former short-term White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman is attempting to stir up interest in a new book by delivering audio that she secretly recorded in the White House situation room when she was fired by Chief of Staff John Kelly. Ms. Manigault released the audio to NBC for use in a Sunday broadcast of Meet the Press with Chuck Todd.

There is a strong possibility Ms. Manigault has committed several violations of federal law with a secret electronic recording within a SCIF (Situation Room); however, any action therein would only further provide fuel for her already discredited self-promotion. The fact Ms. Manigault made the recording speaks to her duplicitous intent and lack of integrity.

Here’s the audio:

Interestingly, Ms. Manigault and NBC did not release the continued audio portion where WH attorneys outlined the legal and ethical violations that led to her firing; and the legal risk upon her departure.  MORE

  2. When Obama won, sistas’ were happy to get a free ObamaPhone.
When Trump won, Omarosa hit the jackpot.
She had an American Express Black card that came with keys to the White House.
She took full advantage of the freebies. Including her wedding and other shit she thought she could take.
Hell, the Clinton’s stole less shit from the White House in eight years!

Finally the filthy cunt wore out her welcome and they showed her the door.

Thing is, this was DONALD J. TRUMPS FAULT!
I cannot give him a pass in this.
    None of us should.
    He needs to own this.
I can only assume her skin color is why he brought her on.
Come on Donald, winning will turn to losing if you hang around backstabbing, duplicitous, maggots.

  3. “I can only assume her skin color is why he brought her on.”

Loco — You know what that old saying about assumptions, right?

POTUS Trump cannot and should not be blamed for the acts of anyone who betrays his trust and friendship, any more than you or I if we found ourselves in the same kind of situation. There are many kinds of people with just as many motivations for using and abusing their relationships with “star” friends. Omarosa was a big, early supporter of candidate Trump. She defended him from attacks by his opposition trying to stir up a scandal related to other “Apprentice” contestants, too. I don’t know what she did to get herself fired from the WH, but I imagine whatever it was, they must have had ironclad proof of it to sack her the way they did. And, from the transcript, it appears they did her another huge favor by allowing her to leave on her own rather than force her to legally defend herself.

She undoubtedly thought her relationship with POTUS Trump would cover any abusive transgressions in that relationship. That’s not Trump’s fault and he doesn’t have to “own” anything. Should he have known better? Did any of us know better when Jeff Sessions turned out the way he did?

She screwed up and now she’s embarrassed and doubling down. She’s the only one who owns any of it.

    19
  4. ….and to top it all off, it appears she expected special treatment by POTUS to waive any wrongdoing. How do you think that would have played out in the media? Cripes, he had to fire cabinet members for abusing their office, too!

As it turns out, POTUS Trump did “own it” and did what was right and obligated to the American people; proving, once again, that he is not carrying on the age-old tradition of turning the WH into a club house with special rules for “members only.”

  5. I LOVE Pres Trump! God knows I pray for him, for his family, for his administration, every day, many times during the day, even. But, I really question why he’d bring that woman into the White House. When that happened, I was shocked. To me, it sounded like a joke, a bad joke at that.
Thomas Wictor has some theory that this is a part of a plan to distract from something else. To me, this is just another way to drive a wedge among Trump supporters.

  6. @Val — It wasn’t a joke. Omarosa was a big part of candidate Trump’s campaign. Like Sessions, she was a well-known face who was part of the campaign’s outreach. In that role she excelled. What seems apparent is that she didn’t make the transition from campaign mode to the WH, where POTUS Trump brooks no misbehavior that jeopardizes the integrity of the WH and this administration. I know nothing of her professional background, but I guess she’s got business chops that would have given her a baseline of skills that would be useful in a WH role. More skills, say, than someone who served as a campaign van driver (Tommy Veitor under oblowme) and was given a job as National Security Council spox. LOL!

  7. AA, have you EVER criticized President Trump?
If so, I must have missed it.

I know few folks had his back at the beginning and he likes to reward loyalty.
That said, his experience and judgement should have told him Omarosa was bat-shit crazy.
He could have given her a role where she couldn’t do any damage to him.
He fucked up and instead of calling her a “lowlife,” come out and say how disappointed he is in himself.
He definitely should have know better.
    I expect better from him.

    2
  8. “AA, have you EVER criticized President Trump?”

Quite obviously that’s YOUR job. If your guy Cruz got elected I’m sure we wouldn’t be suffering through this. He wouldn’t have got shit done, but hey, you’d be a happy little guy.

  9. Go to hell Brad.
You lack the intelligence to form a cogent argument.
Get off your knees regarding Trump.
He is as imperfect as you are ignorant.

It is so bizarre that a sad Californian is hosting a free AirBNB
in his head for Ted Cruz.
Perhaps Ted should consult a security firm to protect himself from
    dangerous lunatics like you?

    Sad_Little_Weakling_Brad

  10. I never expected perfection out of DJT when I cast my vote for him. Especially when you consider in his first 18 months he’s accomplished more the the last three administrations combined. It’s not like he’s phoning it in. I get the reasoning for having this woman in his cabinet. It was probably sound logic at the time.
Your hatred for President Trump clouds your ability to judge fairly.

    7
  11. Just like the MSM for Obama, Brad_Maddow can’t see outside his rose-colored glasses.
If this president can’t be criticized for hiring a dumpster-fire whore like Omarosa or screwing another whore (while married), Stormy Daniels then it just proves my point.

It doesn’t matter what percentage of blacks say they support Trump.
They are slaves to the democrat plantation and will NEVER leave.
    See Chicago, Detroit, Ferguson….

    2
  12. I’m surprised you’re this concerned over the Omarosa hire while the Libtards are busy trying to submarine Kavanaugh. You have no perspective here. But that’s what #NeverTrumpers do.

    2
  13. Um, perhaps you haven’t seen Drudge, and every news channel, including Fox?
Omarosa is EVERYWHERE, stirring up the racist rhetoric.
She is claiming tapes that prove it, along with claiming Trump is incompetent and not even in charge.
I suppose Trump should ignore this, just like Bush v Kanye.

    BTW, who started this argument?
    You did you moron!
I know you like to fight but you are severely outmatched.
You can’t match wits with me, Brad.
You know that, go down a few IQ weight classes.
    Good luck. 🙂

  14. @Loco — Have I ever criticized POTUS Trump? I don’t think so. What’s to criticize?

Brad’s right. Apparently that’s your job. And you are very good at it. See! I can’t even criticize you! LOL!!

    3
  15. @Loco — I wish you’d see this from the viewpoint that I think is more accurate. Omorosa is an opportunist who is trying to sell books for money. We all know that. She knows at least as well as anyone who has been in show biz that negative press is more effective than positive when it comes to gaining eyeballs and ears. Is that POTUS Trump’s fault? No! Sean Spicer, for example, was in the same position, Reince Priebus, the same. Did they secretly record their private conversations with the POTUS? No. Did they write books and cash-in on their unique opportunity to serve America? No. Omarosa is a low-life, indeed. She is selfishly putting herself before the nation. Plus she’s a liar. I just read somewhere that even the new reality show that she’s on (was on?) is not working out for her. Her life is raveling and it’s all on her. It’s taken her a long time to figure out she can’t use the race card to bully her way around.

    2
  16. Geoff, you can NOT be serious?
    You cannot be that naive.

I had no idea how many Trump sycophants reside on this blog.
    WOW. Kind of enlightening.
    Me…I am fair and balanced.
    I call a spade a spade.

I guess using YOUR logic, OJ is innocent since I don’t have the
video tape of the two brutal murders.

    Casey Anthony…NOT GUILTY
    Hillary Clinton…NOT GUILTY
    Bill Clinton…NOT GUILTY
    Bill Cosby…NOT GUILTY
    Anthony Weiner…NOT GUILTY

Seriously, DJT had a one night stand with Stormy.
    EVERYONE KNOWS THAT.
    Has DJT EVER DENIED IT?
UM, not that I have ever heard.
    Case closed.
Stormy is trash and another Trump mistake.
    Own it and move on.

    1
  17. @Loco — You should have quit while you were ahead. You don’t want to relive the campaign months, do you? Don’t be so combative. I’m not a sycophant. I’m a red-blooded patriot who is in our president’s corner, fighting it out against every faction who is trying to take him down and return the D’s to power. That’s a sobering thought, isn’t it? And what the D’s have in store for us — should they be successful — is much worse than a Hillary WH.

    2
  18. Loco
I wouldn’t do that ugly disease ridden skank with you’re little thing. And Trumps a germaphobe. Fake news. More propaganda to hook the weak minded. Looks like they got ya.

    2
  19. AA, is it a zero-sum game?
    All in or nothing?

I can criticize Trump AND still support him.
I voted for him in Florida and I support him in all the good things he has done.
That said, he is not above criticism no matter what he does.
We hammer the MSM for kissing Obama’s ass for eight years.
I wouldn’t want this site or Fox news or anyone treating Trump with kid gloves.
He’s a grown man and should be able to own up to his mistakes.

Question for AA, Geoff, and sigh*, Brad:

Do you honestly believe DJT DIDN’T have a one-nighter with Stormy?

    Come on, it’s an easy $130,000 question…

    Bwahahaha!
He did, you know he did.
I hate the bitch but HE was the one who screwed…up!

If I knew what you guys looked like I would photo-shop that picture of those young women looking up at Obama at his campaign rally with that lovelorn look in your eyes.

    1
  20. @Loco — There’s been no proof at all that what Daniels or her atty are alleging is even remotely true. I can’t believe you are believing that. And you’re calling Geoff C. naive?! Come on, Loco!

But let’s for a moment say it is true — just for the sake of looking at the big picture. In that big picture, a Trump dalliance would be disappointing, at most, but certainly not sufficient to write him off as a bad president as it would offer nothing to criticize him for any of his foreign or domestic policy decisions. It doesn’t even cause a risk of blackmail. So, it’s a big fat zero on a scale of 1-10.

Loco, I find it ironic that you accuse Trump supporters of seeing Trump as a saint, but it is you who expects him to be a saint and fall on the pearl-clutching, feinting couch whenever anything hits the fake news. Are you afraid he is giving the fake news ammo? I don’t get it. They make this stuff up — just like they made up the Russian collusion thing. It’s all going to bite the media in the a$$, here, pretty soon.

    2
  21. The Stormy affair was an affair BEFORE DJT became President.
    It is a nothingburger.
However, an NDA was signed and $130K was paid.
    Those are facts.
I don’t believe in Trump/Russian collusion but I would wager 10 Grand that Trump and Stormy had a one night stand.
So? If you can’t even acknowledge Trump screwed up you lose credibility.

I know Trump is no Saint, nor do I expect him to be.
I am simply surprised that folks on our side have the
same tendencies as the leftists and won’t be honest about reality.

I am a fair minded person, not naive, nor do I lie to myself.
I expect more from those on the right.

    1
  22. @Loco — Well, reread your remarks. I can cut and paste them here, but I’ve got other stuff to do today, too.

Okay, here’s the most recent: “If I knew what you guys looked like I would photo-shop that picture of those young women looking up at Obama at his campaign rally with that lovelorn look in your eyes.”

There’s no arguing that you just compared us to zombie obamabots. On the strength of what? Your opinion, that’s what. With a “lovelorn” look in our eyes? You’re confusing lovelorn with the words “pride”, “admiration” and a great big dose of “gratitude.” My 401K has had a miraculous recovery, soon my health insurance rates are going to drop below what my mortgage payment used to be, NoKo hasn’t put a scare into the West Coast for a long time and are dismantling their arsenal, China isn’t dumping cut-rate steel and at least ten new steel mills are firing up as we type, my church leaders can say whatever they want about politics and politicians again without the IRS threatening them, and today justice was served with the firing of P. Strozk. I’m a very happy camper. I’m grateful. Grateful people are happy people.

    2
  23. @Loco — Stay off the personal attacks and we’re golden.

Yeah, I guess it really is a zero sum game for me. I put in a lot of sweat over the course of months, including another summer I didn’t take a break, to get this man elected. With every megaphone arrayed against him, I figure he — and more importantly, our country — doesn’t need me going all “fair and balanced” on it over junk news. This fire needs fire in response, otherwise we risk it all over what I consider to be either total BS or weak nit-picking. Big picture and long game in play here. They won’t stop and neither will I stop giving my full-throated support to this president. It’s just the way it is.

    2
  24. “I get it, Trump is your infallible, unimpeachable, God.”

That’s what I mean. You just don’t get it.

So, would you like to see him impeached? I don’t know what you’re grousing about. Do you want an admission from me or someone here that you are right about Trump? Be unhappy about him if you must. That’s your business.

    I’m done.

  25. I wonder how many iOTW’ers we can get in a room before a fight breaks out. I put the over/under at 11 1/2. If we ever do organize a get together we’ll need either bouncers or some sort of security. It would make for a memorable evening at the very least.

    2
  26. Loco, are you still in Vegas? Did you check out the Haufbrau House? No doubt there are lots of good places for a group to meet, but I think that’s the type of place that we should look for if we were to try and organize something. Plenty of distractions, free flowing drinks, and girls that serve drinks with paddles in their hands.

    2
  27. Telling them that joe6pak sent you will not get you any special treatment, but it won’t get you kicked out either. If you’re with a group be sure to bring them with.

    2
  28. All of my best friends are hard headed son of guns. I love it. A life without passion or sense of focus, or even a bit of aggression is a life lacking in direction. It’s great having guys and gals that can’t wait to say what they think.
