Nebraska becomes 27th state to pass Constitutional Carry

JTN:

Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen signed constitutional carry into law on Tuesday, making it the 27th state to add to the constitutional carry majority.

“Signing this bill upholds the promise I made to voters to protect our constitutional rights and promote commonsense, conservative values,” said Gov. Pillen in a press release. “I appreciate the hard work of those senators who supported this legislation, and particularly that of Sen. Brewer who led this charge and carried it through to the end.”

The law allows law-abiding Nebraskans who are 21 and up to be able to carry a concealed handgun without a permit.

It will go into effect 90 days after the end of the legislative session, which is scheduled for June 9. MORE

  1. Good!

I’m sure my liberal friends won’t be happy to learn about this increase in freedom.

One is so backwards he thinks militias are supposed to be run by the Govt. only. Totally misses the whole point of 2A.

How would they have time to run the militias, when they’re running BLM, LGBTQ, Fake News, Xenophobia campaigns, racism propaganda, illegal immigrants, human trafficking, pedophilia rings, abortion clinics,…….

  3. the state of Merryland has just passed a law, effective July 1, that allows carry only if you get expressed permission from the owner of the property you are on … either real or private property.

which means you practically cannot carry anywhere but basically on your property.

… already banned in any ‘public property’

(look up MD SB1 if you are interested … it’s also an ‘Equity Law’ … whatever that means)

  4. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ, I knew a fellow Bell man who was arrested on his own property in MD by the DNR for concealed carry. Absolutely Kafkaesque. He spent 3 days in jail and untold monies to eventually have the charges dropped.

He was wearing a gun belt and his jacket covered “some” the firearm… which the DNR skunts “called” concealment. Apparently they can tresspass and ruin your life.

He almost lost his job at Bell because he was AWOL for a day and “could” have been a pending felon. Cooler heads previled on all sides, Bell, the judge, the DNR… but still.
