Nebraska Is Underwater: 74 Cities, 65 Counties Under State of Emergency

Epoch Times: Much of Nebraska was inundated with flood waters, leading the governor to declare a state of emergency.

Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts called it “the most widespread destruction we have ever seen in our state’s history,” and said farmers will suffer the most, CBS News reported.

According to USA Today, 74 cities, 65 counties, and four tribal areas were under a state of emergency as of March 19.

The state’s farm bureau said that ranch and farm losses could total $1 billion.

Vice President Mike Pence went to the state to survey flood damage, visit a temporary shelter, and speak to first responders.

“We’re going to make sure that federal resources are there for you,” Pence told volunteers, as reported by Yahoo.

South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin also declared states of emergency due to flooding, CBS reported. more here

  1. Important products from Nebraska, stock up now or no burgers for us this summer!

    Livestock

Nebraska ranks #3 among the states in total livestock receipts. ivestock products account for about 2/3 of Nebraska’s farm income and beef cattle are the most important source, followed by hogs.

Dairy products and chicken eggs are also important contributors to livestock product revenue.

Nebraska farmers also raise sheep and lambs, broilers (young chickens), farm chickens, and turkeys.

    Crops

Corn is Nebraska’s most important crop, with much of it going to feed cattle and hogs. Other leading crops are soybeans, wheat, hay, and grain sorghum. Other crops raised in Nebraska include beans, sugar beets and potatoes.

Living in California isn’t so bad after all. I live in a large agriculture area. Rice, almonds, fruit orchards, and cows. As long as the dam doesn’t break we’ll be fine.

  2. I keep reading about how wonderful it is that New Zealand is “coming together” after their recent shooting. You want to see real coming together? Those affected, those that had their lives and livelihood ruined by flooding in the Midwest number over twice the entire population of NZ. But these are fly over folks, red staters, the salt of the earthers, real Americans.

And we should take care of our own. Don’t wait until the end of the year for your charitable donations. The Red Cross, The Salivation Army, United Way of the Midlands, these charities provide real relief now, unencumbered by federal bureaucracy.

Yeah, New Zealand is coming together alright under a new and potent form of tyranny of sharia speak and pc crimes!

I was born and raised in the States and I’ve seen my fair share of “coming together.” Coming together only last for about a month or two then it’s business as usual. Remember how nice everyone was to each other after 9/11? Well look at us now! That 9/11 coming together lasted maybe 6 months. The New Nealanders will change their tune soon. Watch!

Been watching the Camp Fire evacuees and how they’re being treated. From November until January, it was ‘PARADISE STRONG,” “WE SUPPORT YOU PARADISE.” 30,000 people displaced and the residents of Chico don’t want them in their hood. Refusal to allow trailers to be parked on acreage suitable for the evacuees. But Chico said NIMBY! Seems as though they don’t want the traffic tying up their WalMart and Costco runs. I know how human nature works.
