Nevada: Reno Rodeo Set To Start Up Again In June

KTVN: Looking to our community, the Reno Rodeo is set to happen this year after taking a year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Tickets went on sale Monday, but the economic impact of the event goes beyond ticket sales.

The sights and sounds of the Reno Rodeo were missed last year because of the pandemic. But now it’s set to go on in June. “I like the bronco riding and that kind of stuff. My buddy’s a roper,” said a local resident who wants to be known as Jim. ” love the mutton busting of course. It’s always fun to watch the kids out there. I like the bull riding too,” said local resident Ryan Floyd. “I’m a carnival food kind of girl,” said Junkee Clothing Exchange Team Lead Buyer Heather Puckett.

The rodeo has an emotional connection to Reno. “When they have the parade down Virginia Street, they have the prettiest horses walking right in front of Junkee. People set up chairs right in the parking lot. We just dance to the drum beats coming from the parade,” said Puckett. more

  1. Hellz yeah!

I’m a bike and car guy, but come on. The Rodeo is always cool. We have the worlds oldest rodeo here in Prescott. It’s very, very dope. Maybe I’ll head up to Reno this year. Haven’t been in ages.

  2. It is well past time to ignore that governor.

Same in Virginia, California, New York, and all of other states that have Jack booted thugs that have imposed dictatorial edicts upon us.

  3. They cancelled Rodeo Day’s 🤠 here in Tucson and the parade two years in a row because of Kung Fu Flu. Is there anything the damn Commies won’t do to ruin everybody’s fun? 🤔

  4. Frontier Days, Ellensburg Rodeo and Pendleton Roundup are on. Omak Stampede Committee met last night and I should know something maybe tonight. That three of the big money shows that are committed to playing. PBR has opted out of Tacoma this year, Billings is on in mid May so we will be headed to Montana for the show, a couple days prairie dog shooting then back to Ephrata for Memorial Day weekend.

  5. Our annual Armed Forces Lilac Day Parade in mid May in downtown Spokane has already been canceled for the second year in a row because of fear of the chink flu. I am not a big parade fan but this is getting ridiculous. Our annual Bloomsday Race in early May which usually draws between 40-50,000 runners is also virtual again this year as well. Let’s stop the bullshit and get back to normal, please.
