New bill in GOP-controlled House would ban feds from working with Big Tech to censor Americans

JTN: Leading Republican lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives filed new legislation that would ban federal employees from working with big tech companies to censor Americans.

The bill comes as ongoing reports show that federal law enforcement and the White House have regularly communicated with social media companies like Facebook and Twitter, pressuring the companies to remove posts and accounts for a range of issues, including questioning the COVID-19 vaccine.

“The collusion between bureaucrats and Big Tech has gone on for far too long. Government agencies shouldn’t censor the free speech of Americans,” said Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who is helping lead the effort. “The Protecting Speech from Government Interference Act is an important first step toward transparency and accountability for Biden’s bureaucrats and Big Tech.” MORE

  1. Some believe there won’t be many conservative laws passed but a lot of Democrat senators are up for election in two years so they will be under pressure to vote for some of the better legislation passed from the House. But then Biden the shithead could still be a roadblock.

  2. Indict, prosecute, execute.

The malefactors have already broken the law, violated the Bill of Rights (1st Amendment), and conspired Treason against their sovereign.

    You know who they are.
You know what should be done.
    Do it.

We don’t need another useless law cluttering the US Code – we need men willing to do their duties. This is nothing more than “maintaining the pretense” of doing something.

  3. The Constitution already says that the government cannot censor speech. Working with big tech makes big tech an extension of the government.

That does bring up the old question, however, of what happens if the government ignore the Constitution? New York is already pushing that envelope with the 2nd Amendment. How many years did the government just pass continuing resolutions instead of Constitutionally required budgets. What happened? Nothing.
