NEW DIVERSITY-LADEN SPIDER-MAN MOVIE SUFFERS MARVEL’S WORST SECOND WEEKEND PLUNGE EVER.
Viewership for Sony’s new Spider-Man: Homecoming film reportedly plummeted over the past weekend, earning the diversity-laden film the honor of suffering the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s worst first-to-second weekend drop for a film, ever.
According to Forbes, the film went from earning a strong $117 million at the box office during its opening weekend to a mere $45.2 million last weekend – a 62.2% dropoff worse than any of the other Spider-Man films of years past.
According to IGN’s analysis (gleaned using numbers from Box Office Mojo), those figures place Spider-Man: Homecoming – which features a black Mary Jane as well as jokes about defeating white privilege and characters informing each other that the politically correct phrase is “Native American,” not “Indian” – roughly two percentage points behind Marvel’s next worse second weekend dropoff; the 2011 Captain America movie.
Maybe people are just getting tired of fake life characters, just like fake media news characters?
How about an original idea for a movie instead of remakes?
All of the pussy hats and other progressives went the first weekend. The second weekend just reflects parents letting the theater babysit.
Saw the movie last weekend because I had time to kill. Wasn’t particularly impressed, it was kinda boring.
I have always felt the original 2002 Spider-Man, with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Willem Dafoe and others, was one of the best movies that ever came out of Hollywood.
Unless you tell me this “new Spider-Man movie – 4th or 5th edition or whatever” comes close to being as good as that original, I’m just not wasting my money.
Because …diversity! Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of knuckle heads.
I wonder how many movies they will re-do for the sake of diversity an lose their butts.
I avoid anything and everything Hollyweird. I will maybe watch 1 or 2 movies entire movies a year, provided I’m bored and they’re entertaining and believable.

No one wants to pay to be a captive to watching 2.5+ hours of Hollywood’s uber left views pushed down their throats. Even worse would be watching the new Planet of the Apes that doesn’t even try to hide their agenda. These movies are long, boring, and repetitive. Pass.
Imagine the awards it’s going to win.
I’m waiting for the new Superman with a parapaligic, black, Puerto Rican, Muslim girl playing Clark Kent. I’m sure it will be wonderful.
What got me was when they placed a black guy as Heimdal the bridge guard in the Thor movies. Seriously?! Nordic mythology/culture never had blacks referenced anywhere. And, I don’t care how good of an actor the guy is (I do like him in other movies), he didn’t need to be in aviking centric movie. We are losing our history and culture like water through a screen, soon enough it will be all gone.

I guess studios don’t learn from debilitating errors the way normal humans do.
Comic books aren’t like those mentally debilitating book books, that old white nerds like. Comic books let you use your imagination to see what the characters look like.
